Our hotel (Old Central Firehouse Bed and Brew) told us about this hidden gem. Beautiful paintings and art spread along an alley off Avenue D and Irving. I loved it...the creativity to take a random alley and fill it with art made me smile. Check out the other public art in San Angelo; the city really embraces public art! In addition to Paintbrush Alley, look for the historical murals on downtown buildings, the sculptures (love the mosaic cars!) on the Riverwalk and the Sunken Gardens, and the Pop Art Museum (on Twohig between Irving and Randolph). Don’t miss the mosaic floor at the Sassy Fox...amazing!

The International Waterlily Collection has been designated by the International Waterlily & Water Gardening Society as the premiere collection of waterlilies in existence. This collection is the life work of one man with the mind of a scientist, the heart of a poet and the soul that embodies preserving waterlily heritage for the generations to come. His name is Ken Landon. Ken is only able to display about 1/2 of 1% of the collection each year so there is always something new and wondrous to see.
The Lilly Garden is an oasis in West Texas. It’s World renowned, peaceful, and very relaxing. Take the whole family out for a stroll.

Visited Goodfellow AFB for my son's graduation from technical school. The base is very small, but that made finding the BX, commissary, movie theatre and events center very easy. The people were friendly and we had a FANTASTIC time! Thanks Goodfellow AFB for taking care of my one and only son, for providing him with the tools he needed to begin his career in the Air Force and for the hospitality during our visit. Recommend visiting.

This river walk, and the visitor's center are so beautiful. There were many places to sit and enjoy the view, art installations, birds, trees, flowers, even living bamboo. Absolutely gorgeous.
