Today started out very early. We met at the office and left on time. Oh, Nong, and Sam were terrific tour guides. It was nice to leave so early because traffic was minimal. Was good fun waiting for the train to arrive and also riding it to the market. You have to see the market to believe it. So cool how everyone moves their wares when the train arrives. After hanging out there for a while, we went to the floating market. Since it's during the time of covid, there were no other foreign tourists. Many of the stalls were closed but being on the river was fascinating. Oh got us a boat and we were paddled around to different stalls. It was really nice. Afterwards, we ate by the river. Then, we made one last stop to a family farm to learn about the process of making palm sugar. Oh told us about the family and gave us a tour of their home. Fascinating. It was an all around great day. We would definitely do another tour with them again.

Today we saw a complete different side of Bangkok during the Colors of Bangkok cycling tour. The green lung of Bangkok is absolutely stunning. Am, our tourguide did a great job in showing us around. I would definitely recommend Bangkok Biking and we will definitely come back again for another tour.

There is nothing quite like it! “Wood” you like to know what’s next on this Bangkok day trip? A stunning temple with hand carved teak wood walls showing the amazing story of the Buddha. After all this excitement it’s time to eat! You will be blown away by the beautiful Amphawa at sunset. Enjoy a traditional dinner of scrummy specialties by the water as your local host shares the magnificent stories of the floating market. Ahoy there! Who doesn’t love a private boat trip? May, our local guide is fantastic. She was very kind to pick us up at our hotel. We quickly hit it off and chatted about Bangkok during our tour. May took us to places that are off the beaten path to see the real Bangkok. We had a marvelous local Thai lunch by the river. May wanted to show us food that her grandma made for her. Totally authentic Thai food. Besides the Thai puppet show, she took us to see a 200 years old temple that is being restored. No tourists, just two of us. We felt very privileged to see her hometown. May took great care of us and even dropped us off at the next meeting point for our second tour. We appreciate her thoughtfulness and friendliness. Amazing recommended places from her. We felt her genuine friendship. Gave us a really warm feeling. Thanks so much, May. Sincerely appreciated.

The travel feeling different than before. Many places in Pattaya were close and the atmosphere seems quiet but Pattaya more calm and beautiful. Car service, driver very nice and car quite new and clean. Driver always remind and give us the spray alcohol to clean our hand when we got back in car????. So we didn't need to worry about the cleanliness.

3 stars are for Dui, who was really knowledgeable and great with photo-taking. Personally though, I was disappointed by the markets and felt the long journey there wasn’t worth it. As it’s quiet at the moment, stall holders were really pushy and all sold almost exactly the same tourist-y stuff- We were hoping for a more local experience which we unfortunately didn’t get. I’d also like to add a disclaimer for tourists who seek out more ethical trips as this is something we wish we knew in advance: we found it quite distressing seeing so many animals used as photo props, such as snakes which seemed at the very least to have been de-fanged and were repeatedly trying to escape, as well as slow loris’ which were basically catatonic and being kept awake during the day (they’re nocturnal animals!! And a protected species!). Ultimately, while Dui was a really good guide, I’d opt for a different tour with him knowing what I know now.

All I can say is WOW! The Zanzibar Traditional Cooking Class was WAY more than just cooking! It was a full on indulgence into the local lifestyle and the authentic culture of these beautiful people. Lutfia is an absolute darling who exudes warmth from the moment you meet her and just goes the extra mile. The other folk that you come into contact with each also have their own unique characters and are a real treat. The whole experience is just one surprise after the other and kept me mesmerized the entire afternoon. I highly recommend this activity - don't leave zanzibar without doing it. One of my highlights of my trip! (They also sell some of their spices, so do take some extra cash)

Its unfortunate that the temples were in ruins and some vandalized. This was still a very good tour. The architecture is amazing to see even in its destruction. The only problem was our guide. He didn't seem to be very knowledgeable or willing to walk thru with us through the tour. At one point he suggested listening to another tour guide. I would say take the tour, but make sure you have a Tour Guide who is hydrated, willing to walk around and knows the history.
