This was an amazing and thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. On arrival my wife and I were welcomed and offered tea or coffee by the owners, Alan and Stuart. Alan was to be my instructor, and started by finding out if I knew anything about flying (a little, gleaned from Flight Sim on my home PC) and what I wanted to gain from the session in the simulator, which was some basic tuition on how to make a start with flying commercial jets, knowledge to take away and practice at home. Once inside the simulator (which is full-motion, not fixed base, so you feel every movement) you become fully immersed in the feeling of being inside an aircraft, and you soon forget that you are in a simulator. After running through the various procedures of starting an aircraft from cold (the option I chose) Alan took me through the pre-flight checks and procedures, explaining various things as we did so, and very soon we were ready for the first of two short flights to experience push-back, taxi, takeoff, cruising and landing, and then we practised various scenarios such as landing in different weathers and some emergency procedures. Alan put me completely at ease throughout, and his experience as a former commercial pilot came over very clearly with the ease at which he was able to answer all of my many and varied questions. We thoroughly enjoyed this 2-hour experience (my wife sat in one of two guest seats to watch what was happening), and I came away with an improved understanding of what it takes to fly a commercial airliner. I wholeheartedly recommend Simulator Adventures to anyone who is looking for a thoroughly immersive flight simulation experience, and I will most certainly be booking a return visit.

Despite the cold weather this November, the paint balling was still great. Our marshal Devon was good fun and kept the day running smoothly. Pizza at lunch time was good too.

Based in the heart of Salford, Swinton Poolhall was opened in 1980, by Bob & Joan Spencer and is unique in the variety of multi sports & leisure facilities it offers to the local community. Previously called 'Precinct Pool' in the early 80's we changed our name to 'Swinton Leisure' with the addition of our Indoor Bowling in 1985 and have recently turned to the name everyone has been calling us 'Swinton Poolhall' while still retaining all the following sports. With 9 Snooker tables, 12 Supreme Winner Pool tables and a American Pool table we entertain a large number of visitors every week, playing on well kept snooker and pool tables. The home of Swinton Indoor Bowling Club with 3 Indoor Bowling Rinks established 1985 offering league and social bowling. The Fitness Connection a well equipped fitness gym, with Force Fitness stations, Free Weights, Boxing and Cardio Areas. Video Touch Screen Games Room and Digital Jukebox with 40,000 tracks.

Absolutely love bringing my little girl to play at the fun house, cheap entry and I love how you can stay and play until you want to leave. Other places give you just 1 hour times,it’s for your money but at the fun house you do not have to rush your kids If they are playing. I love how I can go in with her and play like a kid again too! ???? Recommend the fun house if you want to entertain the kids on a rainy day. They also have different areas for different age ranges, they have a lovely sensory room for babies and children to explore their senses which is lovely.
