Saint Paul has been called the last city of the East primarily because early developers built it to fit Eastern standards: city squares or parks, towers and turrets, lofty arches, Baroque domes and elaborate adornments abound. Ideal for families and those who like to explore on foot, the capital of Minnesota offers big city attractions with small town manageability. It's an easy and scenic stroll along the banks of the Mississippi River from the Children's Museum to the Science Museum. The kids (and the young at heart) will love them both. Nearby are the grandiose State Capitol, designed by esteemed architect Cass Gilbert and the historic Como Park, which includes lovely picnic areas, a zoo and a conservatory. Also in the mix are modern museums, stately old mansions, interesting natural wonders and unique shops to browse around. Be sure to check out the stellar collection of contemporary works by local artists at the Minnesota Museum of American Art. From four-star luxury to affordable and family-friendly, Saint Paul offers a variety of lodging and dining possibilities making it a great destination for all tastes and budgets.

Way back in 1986, before craft brewing was even cool, Summit Brewing Company Founder and President Mark Stutrud set out in St. Paul, MN, to make craft beers inspired by old-world brewing traditions and ingredients. Over 30 years have passed since he first brewed Extra Pale Ale—our flagship beer—and it’s safe to say he freaking nailed it. Today, Summit Brewing continues to infuse traditional recipes with modern ingredients, crafting high-quality and consistent craft beer. And because we’re independently owned and operated, we get to make craft beer our way. That means relying on natural carbonation, protecting the foam and celebrating the true dance between malts, hops, water and yeast. It means drinking our beer fresh and cold, because warm storage turns good beer to shit. It means never settling for "good enough." And it means protecting the environment, supporting the community and the arts, being kind to animals, and always having one more beer with our friends and family. Skal!

They’ve got some of the BEST food and great vegetarian/vegan options. Vegan chili, quinoa bowl, beyond burgers, and tots are my favorites :) Love everything about UG! Definitely a place to visit if you're in the Twin Cities.

Saint Paul Brewing proudly serves hand stirred, fire brewed beer made one batch at a time. We are located in the historic Hamm's Brewing complex with the original North American biergarten. We are dedicated to our Saint Paul roots and the history of brewing that began years ago right here in Saint Paul. Come for the history, stay for the beer!
The best place to get a craft brew! They have live music and an awesome patio in the warmer season. Food trucks are always around and the delivery menus are here too. The best customer service of any brewery hands down. Dog and kid friendly also!!!

We 3 women came to St.Paul to just check out the neighborhood. I had been here before they had not. We all found different beers we enjoyed. They have a cute outdoor area too, weather would be a big inconvenience since it is not covered. Thanks! Cheers!

Nice atmosphere in older building, friendly barkeeps, happy clientele. Seems like a place that would attract neighborhood regulars as well as "beer tourists".Nice range of Belgians, IPAs, lagers, brown and amber ales--unlike some craft breweries, it seems like they're shooting for drinkability with all their offerings as opposed to competing in the "how weird can we get" category. (My fave was the Desert Red IPA--nice color and flavor profile. Even their award-winning jalapeno-infused beer though is surprisingly smooth and refreshing. No food--but rotating food trucks and a couple of great takeout Mexican places close by--they encourage bringing food in.)

I went shortly after they opened. The bar is unique, the view if the market below is great especially if you like to people watch. You can see the guys brewing and their set up. Creative names of the beer and the owners really put their hearts and souls into everything they do and you can see that. Best beer in St. Paul!!
