Took my wife to see The Phantom of the opera and we were not disappointed. This is my 3rd visit to this theatre. The area is very safe. Right across the street from the state capital. The theatre is located on L street between 13 and 14th street. There is some street parking that you can pay the meter with a credit card for up to 4 hours. There is several parking garages within 2-3 blocks walking distance. The parking garage average cost is $20 to $25 for 3 to 4 hours. The Hyatt hotel is right next door. Beautiful hotel. One key thought , use the restroom before the show. All 3 times I have been to this theatre, the lines for the bathroom (men and women) is crazy during intermission. The woman's line almost went from end to end of the theatre. You are in the heart of downtown Sacramento so there is an abundance of restaurants and stores very close by.
