We had a great time on our walking tour, which turned out to be a private tour with just me and my husband. Our guide Marta was wonderful, so kind and knowledgeable and passionate about the art and history of Ravenna she shared with us. There were so many details we would not have seen without her. She was fun and easy to talk to, and did not mind when I stopped to take many, many photos. Thank you Marta!

I spent the day travelling around with my guide Michelle, and she made the whole experience something I will never forget. She took me to see many different sites from Lake Bohinj to Waterfall Savica to Lake Bled. However the main stops on the way were not all there was to see, it was as much about the journey as it was the destinations. Slovenia has some incredible sites to behold and the scenary all throughout the day left me blown away. Driving through the deepest vallies and up the tallest mountains, it was a real adventure the whole way. Due to the time of year and current events, we basically had every spot to ourselves without the hussle and bussle of noisy tourist spots and the benefit of this was how peaceful everything was. Michelle is an incredibly friendly and kind person, full of knowledge and experience of Slovenia that she shares with you in an enthusastic and engaging way, she is perfect company for the trip. This is an amazing day out which I highly reccomend to anyone visiting Slovenia. I will absolutely be coming back to stay at Lake Bohinj next year for a relaxing camping holiday. Thank you Michelle for touring me around Slovenia during my stay here. It has been one of the best ( or even, the best ) experience I have had travelling over the past few years.

10. Surprises in a seaside city: An audio tour exploring the history of Rimini

Castel Sismondo, Piazza Malatesta, 47900 Rimini RN, Italy VoiceMap Rimini

You probably know the famous phrase, “the die is cast,” but have you ever wondered where it comes from? Well look no further. It was here in Rimini’s Piazza Tre Martiri that Julius Caesar first spoke these three immortal words, just before he started a civil war. There are traces of the great empire that followed all over Rimini, including the Arch of Augustus, the Roman Amphitheatre, the home of a second century Roman doctor and the Bridge of Tiberius. But we won’t only explore ancient Rome on this self guided audio tour. There’s plenty from the fascinating Italian medieval period and the Renaissance that put Italy once again on top of the world, including the impressive but unfinished Malatestiano Temple, and the austere Sigismond Castle. You’ll find all of this in a city that isn't even famous for its architecture and history, but for its sandy beaches, exciting nightlife and the hills, fun parks and historical castles that are just a short drive inland.

Inclusions: Lifetime access to this tour in English, VoiceMap App for Android and iOS, Offline access to audio, maps, and geodata

Exclusions: Tickets or entrance fees to any museums or other attractions en route, Smartphone and headphones, Transportation, Food/Drink
