With its plentiful beaches, dramatic mountains, and backdrop of samba and bossa nova rhythms, it's easy to fall in love with Rio de Janeiro. Made famous in song, Ipanema Beach is still the place to stroll, sunbathe, and be seen. The largest Art Deco statue in the world, Christ the Redeemer, beckons visitors to Corcovado Mountain. Rio’s annual Carnaval celebrations are bacchanalian extravaganzas of feasting, music, dance, and costumed revelry.

I couldn’t decide on which mall to go to so someone recommended Barra Shopping. It’s around 30 min away from copacabana, well worth it. We took an Uber there it was very cheap. The mall was a great shopping experience especially if you like to shop. There is a little bit of everything. Prices were great and we found store clerks to be very nice. Great experience in Rio.

"Shopping Village Mall" is definitely Rio's trendiest mall! Located at Rio's affluent Barra da Tijuca quarter (at Rio's West Zone), this mall offers all high end brands with equally high end prices. But it is beautiful, safe, with a huge parking area and a fantastic range of restaurants, coffee shops and bars. A lovely terrace completes the scene. Visiting Rio and strolling along Barra da Tijuca, stop in for lunch, a simple coffee, or a glass of wine. And you still have the opportunity of watching a movie or a fantastic play/musical at its modern "Teatro Bradesco Rio". Enjoy!
