A well established family run activity centre just outside Cardiff, with over 22 years experience of providing adventure activities for all ages and occasions! We specialise in Quad Biking from 7yo - adults. We have 340 acres of wild farmland to quad bike around and a dedicated children's circuit for the younger ones!We also have Archery, Clay Pigeon Shooting and Laser Clay Shooting on our farm. We also run Gorge Walking in the Brecon Beacons, teambuilding/corporate days and we have lots of educational activities for schools/colleges/youth groups. We can cater for any size group.We're based just outside Cardiff, not far from the town of Pontypridd. We can help with transport arrangements, food, other activities and we can help with accommodation if you want to come and stay in the area. We also run a sister company Wales Activity Breaks, where we package activity days out, activity holidays, stag weekends, hen weekends, corporate away days, teambuilding residentials and much more. Visited Taff Valley on a stag do, we did clay pigeon shooting with a great instructor and then quad biking, the scenery is stunning and it is by far the best location I've ridden a quad we went on a great trail with very good guides. All in a great experience. Thank you.

I’ve only visited Aberdare park during the autumn, so I’m yet to see it in full bloom during the spring and summer months. Despite this it’s still beautiful even during the autumn, and still worth a visit, no matter what time of the year. One of the main things I loved about this place was all the wildlife around, squirrels, geese... It’s a peaceful place, though I have no idea if it’s the same during the warmer months! I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again soon. Recommended to all who may be in or visiting the area.

I’ve been meaning to see Dare Valley Park for a while after seeing it signposted on the A465, so yesterday I finally made the time for a visit. It has beautiful wooded scenery and is much bigger than I previously thought, we spent a good 2 hours walking around and seeing all the wildlife. There were dozens of squirrels around and the place was full of birdsong. There are a few waterfalls (more than I expected!) and it’s also not too far from Aberdare town centre, within walking distance in fact. The only downside was the cafe wasn’t open due to covid, so I plan on visiting again post pandemic as my sister and her partner both say the cafe is very much worth a stop. Overall it’s a wonderful place for walks and for being close to nature, I’ll definitely be visiting again in the future.

Great for walking the dog. Forest trails everywhere. Cafe serves great food and coffee. Love their chip bitty and their pies are great too. Children's park on site too with lake. Beautiful setting.

We parked midway, so it was a quick walk to the first of the four waterfalls. Car park is located here: Ystradfellte Road, Pontneddfechan, Neath SA11 5US. We only hoped to see two of the waterfalls, but ended up trekking the Four Falls Trail. Anyone doing this trail, my advise is take Four falls trail all the way down to the 4th water fall and than take the Link Trail back up. This is the easier option and avoids a steep climb up steps.

“The National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty is situated in Ynysangharad War Memorial Park and has three pools; a main pool, an activity pool and a splash pool. All are heated to a very comfortable 28 degrees, Lido Ponty offers fantastic swimming opportunities for people of all ages and abilities including everything from fun inflatables, Aqua Scooterz, Aqua Peddlerz and a Water Walker. Aimed at our smaller visitors, the splash pool is complete with an umbrella water fountain that your little ones will love. They can bring their buckets and watering cans and play in the warm water in this safe and happy environment. Admission to the National Lido of Wales, Lido Ponty, is FREE for children under the age of 16 and £2.00 per adult. We took our grandchildren to the Lido. The weather did not distract from a great day out. It was dull and rain forecast but it did not matter as you ignore welsh weather! We had a fabulous time. All the lifeguards were very professional. It was spotlessly clean. Changing rooms were fabulous. Safety is paramount in all three pools. Certainly a great venue. There’s a well equipped park , toilet facilities and picnic areas. Very reasonable, especially to go on the floats. Book in advance to avoid disappointment. Can’t wait to go back next summer. Only problem was finding parking due to a lot of construction work going on in the heart of the town. Otherwise a great day out.

Stroll in high pastures overlooking the Taff Valley with panoramic views to the Brecon Beacons in the distance. Hear how the ponies came to be here. This is a lovely sanctuary for ponies and horses. The owner is an excellent guide. You get the chance to meet all the animals and hear their individual stories. They are doing a fantastic job here to give these animals a happy life, after some very difficult experiences.

Saw these at Mountain View Ranch on edge of Cardiff / Caerphilly on the bank holiday weekend. we really enjoyed holding the birds and the staff there took the time to talk to the children and teach them all about the different birds.
