Visited this place, the woods around this area are lovely and with a 10 min walk you can get some fantastic landscape pictures. The air is lovely too, nice change from Skopje. Highly recommended.

St Kiril and St Metodi, were the ones who invented and then spread the Cyrillic (Cyril named after Kiril in our national language) alphabet throughout the entire slavic speaking world. The monument is basically just a statue, however it holds important historical value, and is located as many other churches and monuments, at the end of the Corso in Ohrid before the lake. You only need a few minutes there to take some snaps of them holding up the aphabet.

The Millennium Cross in Skopje is a 66-meter tall cross, built on top Vodno Mountain in 2002 to commemorate 2,000 years of Christianity in Macedonia.
We took a taxi from city centre up to Mount Vodno and then up the mountain with the cable car where we spent 1 hour. Enough time to take photos and grab a coffee/tea as the wind is quite chilly up there. If travelling with a taxi, it would be best if you agree with the driver to wait for you to go back down to the city centre.

The Sliva monument is located north-western of Krusevo, on the road to the village Cer (on the way to Kicevo). It is a symbol of the bravery and victims of the macedonian rebels during the defense of the Krusevo republic on August 12th, 1903. Here the detachment od the duke Georgi Stojanov and Dime Smugrev held a position for 5 days against the ournumbered Ottoman cavalry.

While crossing the Old Stone bridge you cannot avoid stopping to look at this statue .. you first see a woman about to dive in the tumultuous waters of the river ..then suddenly see the feet ....emerging from the water of another diver... quite good.

He is one of the students of the brothers Cyril and Methodius, who also have a monument in Ohrid. Their work is of great historical importance!
