With minivan Rovaniemi-Ranua Zoo transfer takes 1 hour.  This about 2,5 km walk in the magical forest will allow You to meet nearly 200 animals and birds that can be found in the arctic areas. The zoo is outdoors, so prepare Yourself with adequate clothing. The excursion suits for the whole family. There are some sledges (winter) and carriages (summer) available for smaller children, in case they get tired of walking. After the visit You´ll have a free time for shopping in the small boutiques. Buffet lunch available for extra charge. Duration of the excursion is 5 hours.

The zoo is approximately 1 hour south of Rovaniemi by car. Upon arrival, you will take a stroll through the zoo, where you can see the interesting animals and birds that live at the "top of the world!!". You will be able to dine in the cozy restaurant, visit all kinds of souvenir shops including the Fazer candy/chocolate shop and the wine shop, where they sell unique wines made from wild berries found locally, such as cloudberries, lingonberries and bilberries.

Susimaa is the only wolfdog farm in the North that is open to public and that has it’s reasons. You can’t just put wolf dogs in enclosures & think you can bring visitors to them and they accept it. They have actual wolf inside and are not only look-alikes and thus they act like wolves, some more some less, which means they don’t trust you, you are the intruder. So it is something special, that you can go visit them inside their enclosures with us & get to see them face-to-face, get in real touch with them. All that is result of a great deal of work and building up a relationship so strong, that they not only trust us, but also that they trust us that much, that you can come inside with us and get in touch with them. While a visit you will be able to see, that what we offer is NOT business, it IS our life & you get to experience it in in small, individual groups.
