Ramsgate is a seaside town in the district of Thanet in east Kent, England. It was one of the great English seaside towns of the 19th century. In 2001 it had a population of around 40,000. Ramsgate’s main attraction is its coastline, and its main industries are tourism and fishing. The town has one of the largest marinas on the English south coast, and the Port of Ramsgate has provided cross-channel ferries for many years.

Nice Things specialises in handmade ceramics, glass, textiles and jewellery by makers and artists in East Kent (and a few from further afield!). Our lovely light space also hosts a gallery area showing bold, contemporary and local art, changing exhibitions each fortnight. We love colourful, quirky, beautiful and one-off pieces, but always make sure we have things under £5, so that people don't need to feel afraid to come inside, explore and enjoy!
Small shop packed with a good selection of handmade unusual items, many by local makers, loved some of the pictures. Very friendly owner who was happy to talk about the products.
