I have seen and visited many swaminarayan temples, but Gondal holds a significant place due to many reasons: * The Akshar dairy is world renowned as it places the charan (holy feet) of Lord puroshottam. * The carvings, the precious stones engraved are one of the magnificent sights to behold....Much better than Taj Mahal. * Its a huge vicinity, the marble stones are pure white in colour with various carvings of Gods and Goddesses. * The yogi hall holds the temple and idol of yogiji maharaj, the founder of Gondal temple. * Food is served in the canteen for which coupons need to be bought. * there is a nice river flowing behind the temple, very peaceful and serene with bathing facilities. * crossing the river, one can reach the Gau shala (cow's school) in order to witness the various cows, calves, feeding grass and taking their blessings. * the gondal market is a different sight to behold, which is easily accessible by rickshaws. Overall its a very peaceful and pious place, close to Rajkot just an hour by car. Do visit Gondal, and seek the blessings of your life time.

This is a religious site. The city of virpur became famous after the Birth of the saint Jalaram. The temple tells the story of the event and miracles occurred in the life of Saint Jalaram. The local people still feels the divine presence of saint Jalaram around them. The temple also has the "JHOLI" and "DANDA" given by god to Virbai Maa and the Original Hanumanji's Idol.
great place to visit and very popular, with hindu's only temple in India where they do not accept donations! Temple very small and despite crowds ( busiest on Thursday) , did not have to queue up for long for darshans. On less busy days , free Kichadi and Kadi served in temple on busy days they have prasad hall next to railway station. Car park quite a distance from temple which has many nick nack stalls on the way but bargain hard - most only accept cash only.

Nice religious historical place amidst nature. 20 km from Jasdan , near aattkot village. Place is outskirts and remote from human habitate so you will not find basic amenities like medical facility or medicines etc. Near the temple few people are living but in very primitive age way. Temple campus is neat and clean. Night stay facility is there. Dont forget to keep photo id or aadhar of all the members of family to get personal room.Administrative staff is very rude and conservative orthodox. Food is free only for those who have pass from office.Food is simple dal, rice, sabji and may or may not roti. They will not give spoon and you have to eat by hands setting on bare floor. After that you have to wash your dishes by yourself. Normal room Rs. 200-400 are not so clean, Rs.750 cottages are nice and clean. If you are travelling with kids keep tin milk powder, medicine, spoon, disposable glasses, small kittle. Keep some ready to make tea and coffee and some snacks. Out side temple campus you will get tea and sugarcane juice but not in disposable glasses. Nice place for one night stay if you like to spend some time amidst nature. Happy journey!!!!

Very beautiful temple and campus. Clean and very well maintained. Carving is excellent. Very good vision by Patel community to strengthen religious sentiment and thus to promote unity. Now dedicated to the Nation. It's on the way from rajkot to Gondal, off road 6 km from highway. One must visit the temple. All idols of goddesses in Marble are excellent. Hinduism tells by worshipping Goddess that women's are to be respected and honoured. Great.

It was by chance that I visited the Khodal dham temple on my way to Virpur. It is 1 hour journey by rickshaw from Gondal. A marvellous place, an artistically designed temple dedicated to Maa Khodal, hence the name Khodal dham. Spread amongst the greenery of vast acres of land it houses the various forms of All Hindu goddesses under one roof. Made from pure white marble one marvels at the sculptures, stone crafting and murtis that are installed in this spectacular temple. It has a canteen catering to delicious gujrati food and a free tea stall. Travelling time is quite short from Gondal. We hired a rickshaw for Rs. 600 that took us to Virpur (15 kms from gondal) and thereafter to Khodal dham which is 30 min ride from virpur. Its a great tourist attraction as of today... Do visit this pious place if going to virpur or the surrounding places. Best time to visit around evening time to watch the be beautiful sunset, and immerse in the aarti later.
