This private collection of different cultural items from India is just amazing, collected with exquisite taste. The architecture of the museum is really beautiful, modern and simple, designed for the collection to give the best impression of it. We had also pleasure to meet the son of collector and have nice lunch in the garden.

Mukesh Art Gallery was born out of a vision to patronize the exceptionally talented local artists. Established in 2000 by Mr. Mukeshji Gupta who himself is an avid collector and connoisseur of art, the gallery currently works with over hundreds of artists and owns a curated collection of more than 14,000 awe-inspiring, exquisitely framed paintings in different styles and mediums which are thoughtfully displayed in an area of about 16,000 sq.ft. Besides this, the gallery also has a section of alluring handicrafts and marble articles along with framed museum quality prints.
We were attended by Mr Rohit on our visit to this art haven. Rohit was kind enough to show us around the entire gallery comprising of 6 floors, housing different styles and subjects of paintings. I'll stress here by saying that this is by far the most comprehensive art gallery I have ever been to. They have a massive-massive collection of paintings of all kinds like traditional Indian, Spiritual, Modern, vintage, watercolour, acrylic, sketches etc. You name it, they have it. They have paintings and prints within all budgets. I, personally loved the luxe section which displayed one of a kind paintings and also the Pichwai section is the most intriguing one as it housed a colossal collection of Pichwais. This is a must-visit place if you are an ardent art lover, and in case you aren't, you definitely will leave the gallery turning into one !!! Apart from holding masterpieces, which one would love to acquire for their homes, they also house a wide variety of paintings and prints that can be gifted too...Be rest assured about their authenticity, quality and services. Glad that the owner was keen and enthusiastically answering all our questions and educating us about various art forms all throughout our time there. A must-visit for those who wish to acquire something that would last them a lifetime and beyond.

A small textile museum dedicated to the ancient craft of hand block printing. Housed in a restored UNSECO award winning 400 year old building - well kept displays, good information, friendly staff, a printing & wood block carving craftsman demonstrating on site, clean toilets, an excellent small (fixed price) museum shop, & a cafe serving fresh organic coffee. A quiet haven - 10 min walk through the quaint old town of Amber. Please ensure that you have been taken to the correct location. We do not pay commission; some drivers or guides may try to take you elsewhere. Entry Price: rs.80 per adult | rs.50 concession | rs.25 for students and children | video camera entry additional rs.100
This museum is located close to Amer Fort and is excellent value for money (clean toilets too!). We looked at the exhibitions and then had a live demonstration of how to make a wooden block pattern to use as a print. We continued to another live demonstration of how to block print on fabric. We were able to have a go and were allowed to take our sampler piece away as a souvenir. A very quiet museum which is well worth a visit.
