This place is good historic place. Once are there you'll notic that how much effort has been taken to build this piece of art. This fort is located in murud village and Visitors can gain access to the Janjira fort from Rajapuri, a small village on the coast. After a short ride in a small boat, one can enter the fort through the main entrance. The fort is oval shaped instead of the usual oblong or square shape. The fort wall is about 40 feet high and has 19 rounded porches or arches, some of which still have cannons mounted on them, including the famous cannon Kalaal Baangadi. These cannons were largely responsible for repelling oncoming enemies from the sea. Inside the fort walls are the ruins of a mosque, a palace and bath with water channeled from streams, evidence that royal ladies occupied the quarters. A deep well, still functional, provides fresh water despite the fort being surrounded by salt water. I've visited there in the march 20 at that time the fare for ferry boat which took us to the fort was ₹80 and the most important thing is once you got into the boat you'll be there for 45 mins and after that you have to find your boat from which you came you can recognise your ferry for its name, yes they gave names to the ferry and you have to reach on exact time after they leave you on the fort for 45 mins they'll return back to the rajapuri, if you got up in different boat then thet boat can be take you to some different place too. So keep in mind that. After you visit the fort at some distance in the direction of pali you'll find the old mosque which is also good hysterical place to visit.
