We were staying at JenJon Villa in Karjat and the helpful staff guided us to this place. Its a wonderful experience of trekking. We started early morning and the entire trek lasted abut 4 hours. For first time trekkers we faced a bit problem during trek but still its really recommended place for adventure seekers. If your are a first time trekker then you must ensure that you carry a lot of water with you and take some snacks too. Ensure the place is not littered. Ensure that you remain safe during the climb & journey. Do it slowly. Be in group & don't try any heroics. Our JenJon guides helped us have a safe climb At the top of the hill of fort it is beautiful.

Korlai town is located about 25km south of Alibag. As you pass through the town towards the hill you are greeted with amazing views of the Arabian Sea, the beach, the Light house and the hill atop which lies the Korlai fort. The path leading to the light house is cemented but narrow, it’s better to park the car at the beginning and walk up. When we went, the light house was not open to public. The trek to the fort begins at the light house. It’s an uphill path and requires some climbing. The trek is fairly easy and the views from the top are amazing. We did this with a 7 and a 10yr old.The fort although in ruins, still has a lot of charm. Take your time to soak in the views, explore the fort which includes bastions, a remnant of a church, canons, etc. The fort was built by the Portuguese and was later under the Marathas. I would give the whole thing at least 2-3 hours to enjoy the beauty of this place.

Khopoli is a great option for a walk in a cool, airy place outside the city of Mumbai. It is located at the foot of Sahyadri and on the banks of Patalganga river. The beautiful greenery of the region and the popular attraction at the Shri Vireshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Shri Veereshwar Temple is an old historical temple located in Khopoli. This is a good place for you to visit, bless and pray for Vireshwar, the incarnation of Lord Mahadev. This temple is old but it has some spiritual energy in it. We feel that there will be real peace and tranquility here. Visiting Kholopi in the rainy season will double your enjoyment of walkin। Don't forget to eat Vadapav from the small shop next to the temple and don't forget to eat roasted corn in the rainy season

This is a place where the hindu saint Swami Ramdas penned his worldclass book DASBODH. The place even today has his pious vibrations & is restored to a large extent with same spiritual dimension. This place being in the natures lap is a get awy for travel freaks as well. But more to those who want to explore the spiritual dimension. A must visit location though does not have much facilities to stay you can tarvel in a day & come back from mumbai as well as from pune.

Officially called as the Angre Island, this Island Fort has a rich history that not many are aware of. Governed by Shivaji Maharaj's able commander Kanhoji Angre, it was a stronghold of the Maratha Navy which gave sleepless nights to the Siddhis of Janjira. A pretty virgin place off the shores of the fishing villages of Navgaon and Thal in Alibaug, it can be reached by hiring fishing boats from Thal. It has a beautiful lighhouse too. The Indian Navy's Scropene Class Submarine INS Khanderi is named after this very Island.

One of the best photogenic places to visit in Alibaug. You won't mostly find about this place on google since it is one underrated fort. Would seriously suggest you guys to visit this fort. _ _ _ I would like to request you all to not throw your garbage anywhere around this fort. Instead keep a litter bag with you and hang on to litter until you find a garbage receptacle._ _ _
