Goat Dairy Farm Tour. We are open to the public every Sunday afternoon, 1pm-5pm. Pat and feed a baby goat, milk a goat by hand, see a live cheese-making demonstration, sample cheese and gelato that were made on the farm.
Worthwhile visit. Great experience for the kids. Well presented tour. Would recommend to others. Would be good to try some fresh goat milk though. (Although I'm sure health and reg. probably do not permit)

Tourism based alpaca farm with alpaca gift shop. Feed and pat the alpacas and check out all of the amazing alpaca products. Now located at O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyards, where you can also enjoy amazing lunches and do some wine tasting while you are here! Feed the alpacas every day of the week from 10am.
We 'rented' an alpaca for 30 minutes, this was a fun experience for not just the kids but us adults too. These guys are funny characters and are just so adorable. We were also provided with some food to feed 'Noodle'. Highly recommend taking your little ones to this farm!

This lookout certainly lives up to its name, it was by far the best on our recent day visit to the Springbrook Mountain, the lookout is located on the border of Queensland and New South Wales at the end of Repeated Station Road, Queensland. The path (700 metres return) is accessible to all, no stairs, sealed all the way with a bench seat at the lookout platform. The walk passes through prehistoric forest, checkout the ancient Antarctic Beech Trees 300 metres in on the path, they are protected within the Gondwana Rainforest of Australia World Heritage Area. Signs along the way to say to lookout for Albert's Lyrebirds and Richmond Birdwing butterflies, unfortunately we did not see any. The viewing platform is well positioned on the edge of the escarpment providing stunning views of the escarpment, over the Tweed Valley and down to Mount Warning in New South Wales. The best.

A moderate length walk of around 3 hours at a steady pace. It is recommended to walk in a clockwise direction so to avoid walking up steps. The return journey up the hill is via a more sensible gradient with mostly hiking trail rather than steps. I was disappointed to see a large group of swimmers (mostly late teens & young adults) swimming at the base of the Falls, There are signs declaring this is a No Swimming zone to protect the ecosystem. We walked another 20mins further down to find rock pools where swimming was permitted. Amazing rainforest jungle and extremely interesting walk. Falls were a little underwhelming due to the long drought. I look forward to revisiting after a downpour. Toilets, BBQ's and plenty of parking available at the trail start.

At the end of the Springbrook Mountain Road, Goomoolahra Falls offers clean amenities, an easy 100m walk alongside the waters, to an excellent viewing platform that can extend to longer walks Numerous picnic tables amongst a lush landscape, a worthwhile stop

Our friends drove us to this spiritually uplifting place of worship. It is spanking clean and tidy throughout befitting a highly rated religious place of worship. An ergonomically designed chapel is located a few meters away from the car park. A walk from the chapel to the left will take visitors on a trek covering the way of the cross. Throughout the other well maintained and manicured areas, structures / places of worship dedicated to Mother Mary from churches around the world, installed with either pictures or statues with a brief informative history can be found. According to my memory areas dedicated to Lourdes, Fatima, Velankanni, Guadalupe and unique churches from other countries such as Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Poland etc. as well as areas of worship dedicated to saints Joseph, Anthony, Theresa and a new area for Mother Theresa (under construction) too can be found among others. I understand that this is a retreat centre to reflect and pray in a secluded environment. Highly recommended for all interested catholic believers. The public toilets were among the best found in Australia or anywhere in the world.

The War Memorial is a fitting tribute to the local people who lost their lives in war. It's set in a very attractive park and is floodlit at night. We ate our lunch sitting in the park, appreciating the surroundings.

Travelling the Bruce Highway between Brisbane Airport, Caboolture and the Sunshine Coast in Qld - have you also thought "must stop there on day". Well we were guilty of that, but are now glad we did it! On a whim we hopped off at the big exit sign and did the 700m steep walk up. So glad we did. Especially as in the previous 4 days we'd taken various Glass House Mountains pix, but none as close or good as this! Just watch out for wild life, saw a big brown on the way down...
