A new multimedia/multisensory adventure awaits, a mere stone's throw from the Orford Express and Omaterra. Witness the birth of the Appalachian Mountains and cross the lava fields. Feel the continents shift and the glaciers retreat as the earth trembles and the temperature soars, then plunges... You'll never see the Eastern Townships quite the same way again! Be sure to stop by the permanent exhibition "The Cycle of the Seasons," which showcases the finest plant and animal specimens in southern Québec! Consult the program for temporary exhibitions and events.
During my visit they had a traveling exhibit. I think it was called "The History of Rock 'n Roll." Really fun and interactive. Other parts of the museum were interesting, too, and most of the exhibits were in both English and French. Really good movie that takes you back geologically in time to see what the area looked like millions of years ago, thousands of years ago, etc. Fun way to spend part of an afternoon.

Located in an exceptional heritage building with a spectacular view of the St. Lawrence River, it is the region's only astronomy observatory open to the public. Activities are organized by le Centre d'études collégiales en Charlevoix (Cégep), in partnership with the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu and Le Casino de Charlevoix. The observatory hosts an interactive introductory presentation on astronomy with superb photographs, in the multimedia room. When skies are clear, we help you discover the moment's most beautiful celestial objects with your own eyes. Early evening, the observatory also offers observation of the Sun through an adapted telescope. Take this opportunity to treat yourself to an interplanetary trip on a tour of our small-scale model of the solar system, on display at the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu (free admission). A wonderful family experience!

At the Montreal Science Centre, we want to help visitors of all ages acquire an understanding of science and technology for use in building their future. Located in the Old Port of Montreal.
This place is amazing dor kids. We were visiting from New York and only stayed in Montreal for one day - very cold day. So we decided to spend time indoors. Was there with two kids of 9. They were amazed by so many things, they absolutely loved the experience. I suggest to get a map or good understanding of how big this place is, so you won’t get stuck in one place for too long. We got to spend like two hours in the area of challenges and building, and then we realized there was so so much more to see, which we had a very little time left for. So we didn’t see it all. But what we saw and dis was amazing for kids. Highly recommend this place.
