This is a long overdue review. We went last year and Amir was very helpful. He picked us up and brought us to the hotel and gave us tips on where to go in Baku. The guide/driver he assigned to us, Vlad, was also great and knowledgeable about the places we went to. It was a long drive to Khinaliq, but in the end, it was worth it. We had lunch at one of the local's houses, very good food and authentic experience.

Taking a rest under the trees we will stop for a lunch and then move to Tanggalti canyon where walls can reach up 600 meters. It is an ideal place for photo session for those who are in love with the mountains.  Road makes us go up and up – to the final point of our journey – Afruja waterfall. On a road back we will visit Chiraq Castle. The remnains of Chiraq Castle sit very impressively at 1200m on a cliff top above the forested sanatorium of QalaAlti and associated Mashrif village. It’s one of the few castle ruins in Azerbaijan to retain a real castle-shaped silhouette and makes a worthwhile and reasonably easy diversion if you’re driving between Baku and Quba.

Inclusions: Transfer, Lunch, 4x4 cars, Guide, Dinner, Bottled water, Coffee and/or Tea

Exclusions: Alcoholic drinks (available to purchase)

Here are the highlights of our Full-day Trip: -The tour provides a chance to discover the distinctive local cuisine, spectacular natural landscape with stunning mountain forests and hundreds of types of apples. The town and its surroundings remain the country's top supplier of this fruit. - The town provides an ideal base for exploring the region's the highest and most remote mountain villages like the Khinalig which attracts a large number of travellers every year around the world. Nothing can be more interesting than exploring the challenging lifestyle and unique traditions of inhabitants living here. -The tour program also covers the Red Settlement - the home to one of the largest communities of Mountain Jews in the world. - Next impressive natural landscape is Qachrash forest - one of the must-see attractions of Quba. It's well known because the trees are so thick that daylight cannot get through to the forest floor.

Isolated from the Wolrd, Khinalug village is located at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level and will be the last point to visit during this tour. You will see not only the ancient architecture of this village, you will also enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the peaks surrounding this village. And on the way to Khinalig, you can often see eagles flying overhead, wild horses galloping along the banks of stony rivers and clouds descending so low that sometimes they can even be touched.

This was a fantastic tour, and I enjoyed every moment of it! The sights truly are incredible - different than anything you will see in most places around the world. Everyone in the group was great, and the guide was kind, knowledgeable, and fun. I enjoyed spending my day on this tour, and I was sad when it was over. I want to especially mention how great Zaur is - there is no one better in Azerbaijan with whom to spend time and see the city. He is amazing! I very strongly recommend this tour.

This 10 Hour tour is designed for visitors who are interested nature and one of the oldest cities of Azerbaijan. Our Guides contacting guests before tour and you will be picked up from your hotel and go to Quba City. Amid sheepy Caucasian foothills and dramatic canyons lie Azerbaijan’s grandest mountain panoramas and its most fascinating villages. The fabled ancient village of Xınalıq is an unforgettable rustic getaway but the beautiful route from Quba is an attraction in itself. The road starts out through woodlands past a string of barbecue cafes, then navigates several canyons before emerging above the tree line into an almost deserted upland valley. By some definitions Xınalıq (2335m) is Europe’s highest village. During the winter season, Khinalig village can be excluded from the tour if there will be heavily snowing or raining. Instead of Khinalig village, Shahdag Mountain Resort in Qusar region will be visited

Inclusions: National Park fees, Professional guide, Hotel pickup and drop-off (if option selected), Transport by air-conditioned minivan, Lunch

Exclusions: Alcoholic drinks (available to purchase)

We went to Azerbaijan on a 4 day group tour which covered in and around Baku. After the group tour, next 4 days myself and my friend explored the country side of Azerbaijan with the help of "Baku city Tour". Baku City tour service is extremely good since the day I started communicate with them thro whats app. Their response is so quick which gave the confidence to plan the trip with Baku City Tour. As Landscape photography is my hobby, the driver Farid understood our expectation and planed the day accordingly. We enjoyed every moment we spent in Azerbaijan. Over all we are very very happy with the tour and I recommend "Baku City Tour" any time to explore Azerbaijan.

I have fallen in love with Azerbaijan back in 2018 when first visited the country. As a biologist, I am interested mostly in the wildlife of deserts and semi-arid foothills (which are plentiful here) but this land is so versatile that you can cross several ecological zones in a matter of hours. Literally, you can wander in a lowland semi-desert enjoying bubbling mud volcanos and prehistorical rock-art in the morning and then go up to see alpine meadows and glaciers in the afternoon. Besides the natural wonders, Azerbaijan can surely boast with its rich history and cultural traditions. And, of course, friendly and hospitable locals are one of the biggest treasures that can be found here. So, it was a bit disconcerting when I found out that the guy with whom we arranged a trip last year fell ill and this time he will not be able to accompany me and my friend. As always, this happened just a few days before we should fly in into Baku. But we were lucky to find Amir through a website connecting travellers with local guides. There were many offers following my request but Amir's reply had driven my attention. He said that he is also crazy about deserts and will gladly drive us in his old Pajero wherever we want. "That is the guy you need" is the thought that crossed my mind and so the adventures began. I am not sure what is the maximum length of a review on the TripAdvisor and don't think it is necessary to provide the details of the trip here. Everyone can find something for himself in this amazing country. We had good eats, good talks, good laughs, great music. The overall trip was awesome. What needs to be emphasized, however, are Amir's qualities such as professionalism, friendliness, positive attitude and great knowledge of Azerbaijan's history and culture. Surely, when I will plan my next trip to the country I will contact Amir to ask about his availability.

We had an 8 day customised tour organised by Azerbaijanguide.az. From the first email reply I received everything was handled very well in a professional manner. Itinerary was designed according to what we wanted to see and do and we had a brilliant time. Our driver and guide, Farhad, was with us all week and was very accomodating. Artunj made sure our tour went without a hitch and was on hand via phone or WhatsApp whenever we needed to contact him. All in all we had an amazing time exploring (being shown) Azerbaijan and would highly recommend Artunj and his company if you decide to visit this interesting country.
