Located in the heart of the famous herb village, Tra Que Water Wheel restaurant is a rustic-designed, restored, traditional Vietnamese building. Here you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings while you watch the farmers at work tending their produce.
So much fun here! We were taken out on a bamboo boat and had jewellery, flowers made with coconut palms, then a walk through the magnificent herb gardens, doing our own planting and watering the garden the traditional way with buckets over the shoulders; the cooking class was so much fun!! You get to toss the pancakes at each other before sitting down to an amazing meal. Our host San and her sister were just so lovely. I would definitely recommend this to other travellers.

An Hoi An Farm is a beautiful and peaceful organic farm located in the suburbs of the World Heritage Ancient Town of Hoi An, about three kilometres from the city centre. The farm was built by a team of young local people - an agricultural engineer, biologist, food and beverage technology expert and a nutritionist, who have a great deal of expertise and they are passionate about organic agriculture and want to develop healthier lives for the whole community. An Farm has been developed following the "Farm for future" model which combines cultivation with production of food and ecotourism. In addition, the farm is also a community centre for all ages, interests and occupations to learn more about organic farming, nutrition and healthy living.
We had a wonderful morning learning about organic gardening. We sampled some delicious teas and juices. We toured their large gardens stopping to taste and/or smell a great variety of herbs, fruits and vegetables. Back in the kitchen we helped grind rice flower and making rice paper to make our own spring rolls. This was the first of five amazing dishes we prepared from scratch using ingredients from the farm. Thanks to Mrs. Hang and her partner Mr Thui and their staff for a great morning and a really genuine Vietnamese experience.

Tra Que is a charming little village on the edge of Hoi An, the village is named after the sweet scented vegetables that spice up the everyday meals of the Pho Hoi people. Experience a day of living and working with the local people in Tra Que vegetable village, in which you will have a chance to discover the daily life of farmers.
This was a really fun experience ... something different to your typical tourist attractions. Very enjoyable experiences - farming with the locals, scenic bamboo boat ride, heavenly foot massage and fun cooking lessons followed by a delicious lunch. The host family was very hospitable and very welcoming. I recommend this as a great way to see Hoi An life and have some great laughs.
This site is one of the high-tech farms of Hipaya, an agricutural project. The garden provides truly safe and nutritious organic food products for the community and visitors. The garden began as a lifeless and sandy land. With techniques acquired, experience and endless efforts, after only 1 year of processing and fertilizing the soil, it now becomes a garden full of life.
