Putrajaya, officially the Federal Territory of Putrajaya, is a planned city and the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. The seat of government was shifted in 1999 from Kuala Lumpur to Putrajaya because of overcrowding and congestion in the former. Kuala Lumpur remains Malaysia's national capital and is the seat of the King, the Parliament, and all the foreign embassies, and the country's commercial and financial centre. Putrajaya was the idea of former Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. It became Malaysia's third Federal Territory, after Kuala Lumpur and Labuan, in 2001.

Went there with a 3yo kid, he was sitting on his kid tricycle stroller, and it took us 2.5 hours to make a 13km round (after try a few short cut). the lake is HUGE, but it is amazing.

The Putrajaya Botanical Garden is still open, but some of the facilities are not available due to the ongoing virus. So there’s no bike hire or boat rides etc, basically anything that requires staff. At times it felt like I had the entire place to myself such was the dearth of visitors. The gardens are beautifully landscaped, with some great trails of gardens, forests and even a canopy walk. A great place to see some lovely plants.

Its a great place to go during a pleasant weather to drive, bike or just walk around. The flamingos are beautiful and the central nursery is quite nice to walk around.

District21 is a first of its kind, apocalypse themed Adventure Park. This action park is located in a 70,000 sq.ft, indoor premise with a 55ft air-conditioned atrium, within IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. Comprising 10 prominent attractions and 8 function rooms, District21 also offers an ideal venue for corporate team building events, school group visitations and birthday parties. Void of 'passive' rides, the credo of District21 is Fun, Passion, and its Participation requires the engagement of the entire family. Incorporating 10 adventure attractions, many of which have never been seen in Asia, District21 offers activities for all visitors to get you climbing, jumping, riding, sliding and flying. District21 is recognized by Malaysia Book of Record with 5 records: •The First Indoor Pump Track in Malaysia •The First Indoor Ropes Course for Children in Malaysia •The First Indoor High Ropes Course in Malaysia •The First Indoor Maze in Malaysia •The First Indoor Roller Glider in Malaysia.
The kids love the place with lots of obstacles games to go thru. They had fun jumping on the huge trampolines. For those who are more adventurous, should try the adults games eg. free fall, glider, high rope course. This is my kids third time here and they still want to come back again.
