Things to do in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico: The Best Horseback Riding Tours

December 18, 2021 Diedre Savory

Strolling, shopping, and sipping tequila along the Malecon boardwalk of Puerto Vallarta is the best way to kick off your vacation. Then hit the cobblestone streets of Old Vallarta to browse the flea market for handmade crafts. The calm, warm waters of the Bay of Banderas make for excellent diving, or you can just watch artists sculpt spectacular creations in the sand. The cluster of fine art galleries in El Centro are perfect spots to hit on a self-guided art tour.

Great day of riding in and out of the canyons of a park reserve to a waterfall. Rafael Moreno and his partner really care for their customers. It’s a great adventure and a day off of the beach.

This was a fantastic way to see some beautiful scenery in Puerto Vallarta! The horses were friendly and well behaved, and assigned by skill level. We booked the 3 hours jungle ride and it was awesome! The owner and her son were great and the guides(Tomas and Antonio) were knowledgeable and skilled. Truly worth the time and money spent on this one!

Excelent Horseback riding tour where you will have an oportunity to visit a traditional Mexican Rancho, an excellent option to enjoy the great Sierra Madre Mountains with ancient trees and lush vegetation, after one hour you will reach El Salto waterfalls with 20 mts high and a beutifull natural pool with crystal clear waters. must bring a swuimsuit for an opportunity to jump on it. on our way back to Ranch you will have a chance to admire the Green Guacamayas, Chachalacas and as well as the magnificent tropical forest. Back at the ranch taste our great margaritas made out of Habanero, Jalapeno, Serrano Chiles as well as the traditional or cold beer, Mexican lunch is included. Tequila tour is included also. Transportation back to your pick up location or hotel will be provided

This is a must do trip if you are not an experienced horseback rider or if you have been riding for years. My family of six spent the day at the ranch with coffee in the morning then on horses through the river and forest to an amazing waterfall where we swam and cooled off. Back on the horses through an authentic Mexican town and back to the ranch where lunch was waiting for us with top shelf food, drinks, and service. Transportation back to the hotel provided with the best guide in all of PV. Obed Castaneda was our guide and took care of every need and detail. Do not miss this trip if you are in PV. Not a better value for the price and memory.
