Strolling, shopping, and sipping tequila along the Malecon boardwalk of Puerto Vallarta is the best way to kick off your vacation. Then hit the cobblestone streets of Old Vallarta to browse the flea market for handmade crafts. The calm, warm waters of the Bay of Banderas make for excellent diving, or you can just watch artists sculpt spectacular creations in the sand. The cluster of fine art galleries in El Centro are perfect spots to hit on a self-guided art tour.

Our cooking classes are taught by Le Cordon Bleu-certified Chef Miriam Flores. Chef Miriam Flores focuses on sharing the experience of growing up on a sustainable ranch in Jalisco, Mexico, where she learned to cook and farm from her grandmother. Students will learn smart strategies and techniques such as dry roasting chilies and grinding spices to acquire a more authentic flavor.
We truly enjoyed our experience with Miriam and she was very accommodating to our family. Covered some culinary history, regional food styles, some preparation, and ingredient instruction and how the ingredients affect the recipe. Miriam provides a great recipe book as well and a tasting of margarita and Mexican wine is also included!

my name is alejandro and after working as a bartender for almost 10 years, I found a personal passion for tequila and mezcal, so I decided to take a trip to the tequila houses and mezcal palenques to educate myself about these virtuous Mexican drinks, from the plantings of agave until all the enormous process that is required to be able to have in our hands that wonderful drink called tequila and mezcal

At Rosie’s Vallarta Cooking our mission is to offer an authentic experience of our Mexican cuisine. Rosie takes you from buying and selecting fresh ingredients to preparing and tasting the most delicious and typical Mexican dishes. At Rosie’s Vallarta Cooking we are positive that with the right tutorship any person is capable of preparing mouthwatering Mexican food.
Had a wonderful experience with Rosie and her family. Shopped at markets with locals and took our groceries to Rosie’s home. Met Rosie’s wonderful family. (This alone was worth the price we paid!). Then we learned to cook (and eat!) chicken and poblano tamales, red and green salsa, homemade corn tortillas, and bread pudding (and we a few other tastings)! The day cooking with Rosie was a highlight of our trip! Highly recommend!
