Beautiful hike that’s not to be missed! Definitely moderate- the hike is quite steep and at an incline the whole way up. That said, it’s paved! Accordingly, it’s really not too tough. The map says this path is 45 min to the top; as a couple of 20-ish year olds moving at a good clip, we summited in 25 minutes. Great views and good tropical rainforest environment throughout the hike. The summit tower provides breathtaking views of three coastlines, plus the rainforest mountain ridges. It’s a great value for the effort. Some quick bullets/logistics: - We arrived at 1:55pm in March 2020 and completed the trail at 2:18pm. - There are no bathrooms or trash cans along the route. There are a couple of covered benches here and there. - Parking is somewhat limited - much of it roadside. - No wildlife but great rainforest foliage. - The cobblestone paving is single file. Be prepared to make way for other hikers. - We were able to hike the whole way in flip flops and birkenstocks- but I imagine tennis would be more comfortable.

Thrilled to find Ron del Barrilito had opened a tour facility in 2019. Enjoyed informational tour of facility, barrel room and visitor center, and ended with delicious craft cocktails.

This residence is a beautiful example of the 19th century urban architecture. On its interior, art, , sculptures, and furniture built by Puerto Rican's cabinetmakers for the Cauntino family can be found.

Ever wondered how a house covered in seashells by the sea shore would look? Well look no further than Barrio Playa in Salinas. The home belongs to Don Ovidio "Jimmy" Berrios Santiago, who, after his retirement, decided to make his dream of lining his house with "caracoles" come true. Not only is his living quarter fully decorated with shells, but so is his car! In total, the amount of seashells used in this project sums up to over a million.

This restored 19th-century esplanade is the place to begin your stroll through Old San Juan, because of its central location and its inexhaustible charm.
Beautiful walk along the harbor. Lovely little playground (please see below) along with lovely walk through plants) and a very nice fountain

A bustling street full of shops and boutiques.
The umbrellas weren’t up when we went, but the street was covered with a large Puerto Rican flag. The street was also closed off and you couldn’t go down near the Governor’s Mansion. There are however, a lot of great shops, restaurants and bars along the street and it’s very lively all day and night.

Haunting, weathered Spanish-built structures.
Puerto Rico as an island has a lot of history because every other country tried to invade it because of its beauty, strategic position on the map and of course it’s amazing variety of biodiversity (plants and animals)!
