The province of Vibo Valentia (Italian: provincia di Vibo Valentia) is a province in the Calabria region of southern Italy, set up by a national law of 6 March 1992 which came into effect on 1 January 1996, and formerly part of the Province of Catanzaro. Its capital is the city of Vibo Valentia and its vehicle licence plate code is VV. The province has an area of 1,139 square kilometres (440 sq mi) (7.6% of the total surface of Calabria), and a total population of 168,894 (ISTAT 2005); the city Vibo Valentia has a population of 35,405. We were greeted by Alessandro nice and early and it was our first day/time in Calabria! He showed us a few sites (amazing places) as well as took us to the main area we wanted to go to (the reason for our visit). He went out of his way to endure we got there! He was extremely helpful and very friendly. The service was excellent and will use again if we ever go to Calabria. Thank you Alessandro for a wonderful experience. It was a day we will never forget!
