Trapani (Italian: Provincia di Trapani, Sicilian: Pruvincia di Tràpani) is a province in the autonomous island region of Sicily in Italy. Its capital is the city of Trapani. It has an area of 2,460 square kilometres (950 sq mi) and a total population of 436,150 (2013). There are 24 comunes (Italian: comuni) in the province (see Comuni of the Province of Trapani).

Not sure it this site it's always open, but I think it is a fabulous view over Erice if the weather is clear. We had rain, so we did not consider going up :(

The Tower of Pepoli is well worth a visit. When we went it seemed that many other visitors bypassed it (maybe because it is a step ramp in and out), but we were very pleased we went it. It has been beautifully restored and if that isn't enough, the 360 degree views will delight you.

The Torre Doria, also called Torre di Scopello, is an ancient stone tower that used to be part of a system of lookout and defensive towers built along the coastline of what used to be the Kingdom of Sicily, to protect it from pirate attacks. It can be rented for wedding receptions.
