Complesso Termale Etrusco-Romano di Sasso Pisano

The ancient roman-etruscan termal center of “Il Bagnone” is situated between the medieval towns of Sasso Pisano and La Leccia in the Pisa province. The termal ceter has been descovered quite recently and is the biggest termal complex of this type in the world and is unique in its type. The area has need only partially discovered and a lot still needs to be digged. Although the area is closed to the public due to the restoration process, it is possible to walk around the complex and see almost everything from outside the barriers. The Located close to the Valle del Diavolo (with hot water geysers), it is a must in your tuscan visit, if you like etruscan-roman ancient history. If you are in the area visit also the Catselluccuio del Cornia (in the hill in front).
