During the guided tour you will learn about the history of the ancient farm and the various cultivation techniques. Inside the cellar you can taste the wines of Podere Castorani accompanied by typical local products. The Podere Castorani rises 350 meters high, on a hill of Alanno where the ancient vineyards, set between the Majella National Park and the nearby Adriatic coast, enjoy excellent exposure to the sun and night winds, and temperature changes between day and night that give the grapes unique and precious characteristics.

We had such a fantastic day with Alessio and his family. We arrived to espresso and local Italian cakes which were lovely. We were introduced to all of his family and they were all so kind and welcoming. We were then able to make a pasta sauce with his wife and then we created pasta from flour and egg - with Alessio and his wife explaining what to do and why every step of the way. We then let the pasta dough rest and Alessio took us on a tour of his farm which was amazing to see. We picked and ate fresh tomatoes and melons which tasted incredible! We then went on a tour of the local village and tried the most fantastic gelato! Upon returning to the farm we rolled and cut our pasta using traditional methods and cooked it before sitting down to a traditional Italian lunch with Alessio's whole family. After lunch we had more coffee and Alessio took us to see some local attractions we had been asking about earlier in the day. Alessio and his family really went above and beyond for us and we were made to feel so incredibly welcome. Alessio and his whole family are so passionate about their farm and their products. He gave us so much information and we really felt like we were experiencing 'the real Italy'. I honestly cannot recommend this day highly enough if you want an authentic experience with a lovely Italian family. We spent a week in Italy - including some days in Rome doing various excursions - but this was by far the best day we had during the whole holiday. Thank you so much and we will definitely return!

I am a food and travel writer with passion for all things Abruzzo. It is my job to know the best foodie spots in Pescara and Abruzzo and I'll be happy to share them with you! My groups are small, never more than 6 people, so my tours feel more like a friends' outing, with loads of laughs and delicious bites of the best local specialties. While we gorge on local cheeses, cured meats, baked goodies, gelato, pizza etc., I will tell you about the region's culinary traditions, history behind some of the foods, local anecdotes and recommend my favourite places to eat and visit in the region. The tour includes 7-8 tasting stops. Vegetarian options available. Click on Abruzzo With Gusto and then "More" to contact me directly. Make sure you communicate your special dietary requirements (allergies, vegetarian etc.) when booking the tour. The tour is not suitable for vegans and those on gluten-free diets.
Inclusions: All food and drinks consumed during the tour (7-8 stops) are included in the price

An extraordinary tour of the wine history of Abruzzo. Wine tasting and appetizers. The winery is one of the oldest in Abruzzo. Born in the 1897 is now located in Nocciano, between the Gran Sasso and the Majella mountains. The winery offers an astonishing tour through the wine life in Abruzzo, especially the visit of the underground tunnels where hundred thousands bottles are stored for ageing and the museum of viticulture. Tasting of wines and typical appetizers follows the tour.

We got a great viewing of the full production line and also some showing of the production machinery as my boyfriend is very interested in that part. Tasing was delicious and well introduced by our host. No questions were stupid and we highly recommend to visit this winery!
Stroll through the vineyards and discover the modern production philosophy of the Marchesi De 'Cordano winery. During the visit you will be able to admire the vineyards and you will be guided in a path of knowledge about wine production. At the end of the visit you will be a guest of the tasting room, where you will taste some wines of the Marchesi De ’Cordano Winery.

I'm a native of Abruzzo, love to cook and I'm very picky when it comes to food & drinks. I'm always looking for the best quality and eating experience. With the quality of the restaurants in Abruzzo, it is not hard to have an average meal but trust me! it gets hard when you look for the BEST. I'm increasing my culture and wine knowledge attending a 3y Sommelier course at the Italian Sommelier Federation (FIS). On all the FIS events, I'm able to invite my guest to join exclusive tastings, as well as having personal connections with most of the wineries & family-owned business & restaurants in Abruzzo. I'm the founder of Experience BellaVita, a company that promotes sustainable culinary experiences in the less touristic areas of Italy, in Abruzzo. I will be your friend and culinary guide to Abruzzo, let me surprise you!
Inclusions: Depending on what we choose. Basic meals start with 4/5 courses, the best traditional products of Abruzzo, Artisanal local wines & liquors, Access to exclusive places usually close to public

A really great insider ONLINE session for foodies and especially truffle lovers that want to know more about this mysterious underground mushroom. Marino was super-knowledgeable and experienced with the subject, it was a open and friendly vibe and questions were encouraged. I'll definitely recommend any of his lectures/tours to my foodie friends.
This three and a half hour food and wine tour offers 5 authentic tastings (the food served in abundance will replace the prenzo) in different places in the village of Pescara Vecchia: it starts with a visit to the local market and discover seasonal products and secret ingredients. You will do 2 tastings in the family-run stores of the market. You will continue in the village of the native places of Gabriele D’Annunzio doing 2 more tastings in the alleys among the dozens of restaurants, bistros and wine bars. The tour will end at a historic Pescara pastry shop with a tasting of the typical Pescara cake that Gabriele D’Annunzio loved so much: the Parrozzo
