Not worth it, I'm afraid. Too expensive to get to see just one of the glaciers, the Spegazzini one. (The Upsala glacier can only be seen from afar, as it's deemed too risky to approach). The journey was too long and quite uncomfortable (the ferry I took was the Quo Vadis). Too many people travelling. The ferry was 80% full in Covid times, which I found unsensible and irresponsible. We could not choose where to sit or change seats afterwards. The Spegazzini refuge is partly open. You can take a (rather short) walk in the woods, but the café/restaurant/toilet area is (still) closed and looks quite derelict. I've taken other tours in the area (Perito Moreno Glacier/ Canal Beagle/Full day at Chalten) and they were less expensive, better organised and far more enjoyable than this one.

In February 2020, we had a very memorable tour of the Museo Paleontológico Ernesto Bachman, including Villa El Chocón, the dam and surrounding area. I would highly recommended this tour operator. Juan Manuel is extremely knowledgeable about the area and very welcoming. We were very lucky to have his daughter translating from Spanish to English. Great people! Great tour!

I have just returned from a great trip to Cerro Tronador with Natural Travels which was lead by Juan Carlos. Could you please pass on my gratitude to him as his tour was very informative, interesting and a lot of fun! I understood whilst booking that it was in fact a Spanish speaking tour, however since there were a few English speakers on the tour, Juan went the extra mile to translate key pieces of information to us in English, even though we didn't ask him to do this. I also understand that it is customary to pay extra for an English speaking guide with other tours during booking, so this was a bonus-many thanks. A very enjoyable tour, many thanks Juan Carlos and Natural Travel!

This Tour is totally unique! We take the traveler as a companion on the motorcycle ("Mototaxi" style). Or if you had a motorcycle, we will guide you through the region. It is totally new! There are no motorcycle tours of that kind in the entire region. It is a totally new way of observing nature, of living, seeing and smelling landscapes. To feel the wind, to feel the smells. To be able to feel the curves of a route or the 360 vision (towards the sides and up and down). Riding a motorcycle is living nature from the inside. This excursion has all the adventure that involves riding a motorcycle. It is totally unique. I am the pioneer of this new idea in the region and I am very happy about that.

Located 90 km from the city of Neuquén Capital is the Los Barreales Paleontological Center, the only site museum, where different species of dinosaurs that inhabited the area millions of years ago can be known both in the museum and outdoors. The site, recently opened to the public, is managed by the National University of Comahue in charge of its geologists and paleontologists who live there and along with them we will travel the paths of history and the ancient species that trod our Patagonian land. Then we will move to the Schroeder Winery, during the guided tour we will discover how one of its caves coined one of its greatest treasures: "Panamericansaurus Schroederi" dinosaur discovered during the construction of the winery that today houses the paleontological remains. The town of Villa el Chocón, is located 80 km from Neuquén capital. Its tourist village, on the shore of the artificial lake Exequiel Ramos Mejía, comes from the creation of an imposing hydroelectric dam, built in the 70s. This hydroelectric power plant generates electricity for a large part of the country. It is located in an area of depressions in the terrain that make this landscape surprising in each one of its panoramic points (Mirador del Lago, Cañadón Escondido, Represa). Another of the great attractions of the area is the large number of paleontological findings in the area, among which is the Giganotosaurus Carolini, the largest carnivore found so far. This is exhibited the paleontological museum Ernesto Bachmann. Also on footbridges located on the shores of the lake you can see traces of dinosaurs that were reflected in the soil of the area.

Excellent in every way! The guide at the Dino project Gabriel was very knowledgeable and passionate about the work. The tour guide, Clarissa, was very pleasent and it was good to spend time chatting with her about Argentina. We feared the meal at the winery would be expensive but it wasn't and it was very fine dining.
