We used the ferry to get to hook lighthouse duncannon fort Loftus Hall. It was very quick only a couple of minutes. The kids loved it. Very well priced at €12 return. Saved road travel time as well.

Come explore the Aran Islands and cruise below the iconic Cliffs of Moher with Doolin2Aran Ferries. This company is owned by the Garrihy family, who have been fishing and sailing in Doolin since 1968. The original Cliffs Of Moher cruise company, we are also the largest ferry company operating between Doolin and the Aran Islands. Our new flagship, the Star of Doolin, launched in June 2018, is the fastest ship on the Wild Atlantic Way. Sailings operate from March to November. We look forward to welcoming you on board!

From early morning as the mist descends the Shannon Estuary to the Wild Atlantic Sea, to the setting of the sun in the late of the evening, ShannonFerry will take you and your vehicle on this memorable 20 minute journey across the estuary linking the iconic tourist destinations of the Banner County of Clare to the Kingdom of Kerry. This is a lovely experience for visitors who would like a short break in their journey to relax as they sail across the majestic Shannon Estuary. And if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the dolphins, which in the summer, can sometimes swim so near the ferry, as if just to entertain you. As the only vehicle ferry trip on the main spine of the Wild Atlantic Way, this invigorating journey allows you experience the rugged nature of land and sea as you breath in the fresh salty sea air that encapsulates Irelands Wild Atlantic Way.

Finally, made the trip and walked the entire island over a 4 hour period with some friends. Tim, the boatman, give us an impromptu overview as we disembarked and there are good maps and signage at different vantage points around the island. Island scenery is not as stunning as Bere or Dursey island but there are wonderful views across to the Beara peninsula to the north and to the Sheep's Head peninsula to the south. The oil storage tanks dominate one part of the island but are totally unobtrusive from most parts of the walk.

For the most part, we followed the Wild Atlantic Way on a two week road trip in September 2020. Having spent time in Waterford, Cork & Kerry, we used the ferry to progress northward into South Clare. Choppy waters, a sign of an overnight storm to come, but a great way to bypass Limerick (no disrespect to Limerick).

Visited glengarriff on the August bank holiday, took the blue pool ferry. Was greeted by a cheery old man who gave us lots of info on the boats and area. He gave us a special rate as there was 9 of us and made us promise we all tell our friends! We were told we had to wear masks but there was no mention of social distancing. Before boarding the boat we saw that one of the boat men was wiping the boat with spray and cloth. The island was spectacular, very tropical ! Would recommend everyone come via the blue pool ferry!

We headed to the car ferry from Cahersiveen and so it was an easy decision to take this shortcut. After a short wait, the ferry arrived, a quick entry, a quick payment(8 euros for a single journey) and a very short and efficient service journey. Beautiful trip across and taking in the views, bliss!

My family of four took a day trip to Great Blasket last Saturday, July 18th. We were really impressed with Blasket Island Ferries. From a communication perspective, Sibéal was wonderful to deal with. On the day of the crossing, we felt very reassured with the hygiene measures taken, reduced numbers on the boat, requirement to sit in your family unit both in the boat and in isolated individual family/household units on the dingy from the boat to the island. Our experience on the island was extremely positive. We were blessed with a beautiful day and so we were able to enjoy rambling around, checking out Peig’s house and our daughter loved swimming near the seals on the stunning beach. A wonderful experience which we would highly recommend. Well done Blasket Island Ferries!
