Last night we attended the Teatro San Giorgio in Taormina for a concert recital of operatic solos and duets by Soprano Claudia Ceraulo and Tenor Davide Benigno, who sang with enormous skill and passion. They were accompanied by pianist Antonio Gennaro who played with great sensitivity and panache. The concert was enjoyed enthusiastically by a large audience who were treated to a glass of Prosecco on the terrazzo overlooking the sea during intermission. All in all a charming evening, which I believe will be repeated with different programs every Wednesday over the winter and more frequently in the high season. Bravo!
