The Province of Lecce (Italian: Provincia di Lecce) is a province in the Apulia region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Lecce, which is known as the Florence of the South. The province itself is called the "Heel of Italy". Included entirely in the Salento peninsula, it is the second most populous province in Apulia and the twenty-first in Italy.

Vorrei inserire una recensione di Specchia (uno dei borghi più belli d'Italia) con particolare riferimento al centro storico medievale e alle principali strutture di rilevanza storica.
Stroll the ancient lanes. Take your time. The master baker business in the historic center is not to be missed. The interior renovations are stunning and the baked goods are the best in Apulia. Sadly, the fungus is killing all the olive trees. If I don't go back then same on me.

If you are in Lecce, you have to walk through the old town and reach rhis square (Piazza Duomo). There is a cathedral and a diocese palace. They have built in tuff, a particular rock of this area. In the diocese palace there is a museum, but for the entrance at the museum and cathedral you have to pay. anyway enjoy the atmosphere of this square.

The ancient walls of a 17th century castle in Puglia are now primed to cradle a series of curated cutting-edge exhibitions and art installations. Castello di Ugento is set to become a vibrant cultural hub for the Salento region.
The Castello is one of the most unique hotels I've ever stayed in. The rooms are stunning and the attention to detail is honestly quite astounding. Our room was modern and sleek yet somehow also felt true to the castle with amazing high ceilings. We also had a dressing room/bathroom that was the perfect size. The restaurant within the hotel is more of an experience than a restaurant, everything we tried was absolutely delicious - the presentation was also delightful - together it made for some extremely memorable meals. The staff are lovely and quick to offer fantastic recommendations and it was very clean. Any covid related doubts were left at the door as they provided multiple hand sanitising points, the staff were masked up and the rooms were cleaned to an extremely high standard. A perfect holiday.

The Historic Center of Otranto is fairly small, set right on the seaside with some impressive hills. The real stars are the walls, Cathedral and the wonderful views.
