We had a great tour provided by our guide, Pasquale. He was entertaining and knowledgeable, which is a huge plus since the Vatican Museum can be a bit overwhelming if you tour it on your own. He made sure to stop and highlight the important parts and answer any questions the group had. Thanks again Pasquale for the great trip to this impressive site!

With this private guided tour of Ferrara, you will enjoy the most important treasures of the city. The town of Ferrara is characterised by broad streets and numerous palaces dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries, when it hosted the court of the House of Este. For its beauty and cultural importance, it has been listed by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. The tour begins with a visit to Schifanoia Palace, one of the so called "Delizie" of the Este family. There, you can find the Hall of the Months with its 15th century frescos which represent the largest cycle of pagan frescos existing in Europe. The tour will then continue with a visit to the Romanesque Gothic style of the cathedral with its Renaissance apse, and then with a short walk you'll get to Este Castle and to the famous Diamond Palace. Prepare to take amazing pictures of the palaces, the squares, the typical streets of the old town and the picturesque Renaissance palaces.

No one can differentiate the university from the city and city from the university. They claim that this is the first European University and no wonder that is demonstrated by their university museum. Nice people, simple life but smokes a lot and in the afternoon the narrow streets (VIA) are of cigarette smell. Walk is the best in the city and i guess it is 2 x 2 km city. The European history is there.
