The Province of Asti (Italian: Provincia di Asti) is a province in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. Its capital is the city of Asti. To the northwest it borders on the Metropolitan City of Turin; to the southwest it borders on the province of Cuneo. To the east it borders on the province of Alessandria, while in the south it shares a very short border with the Ligurian province of Savona. Fantastic!!! Romagnolo family come from a long tradition of truffle hunter and they'll open you a door in a magical world, the truffle world. The experience is lot of fun, very informative and in a beautiful landscape. I cannot speak highly enough of them and after the hunt, when you sit down in their garden, tasting wonderful products of the Piedmont tradition, you really feel welcome and part of the family. Very well done!!!

An old monastery, reputedly founded under, or by Charlemagne, The main church is a typical example of Romanesque style (12th century). Note the very rare rood screen in the middle of the main nave.
