Route des Cretes

A transverse road in the South of France, between Toulon and Marseille. Not the shortest one, especially compared to the close by highway. But hell (pun intended), the scenery is so incredible that it's a must go !

Le Sentier des Ocres

It's like walking trough a red sand canyon, very pleasant and great with kids. It's best to ware closed shoes as the red sand sticks on your feet & shoes.

Plage de l'Escalet

We have come to L‘Escalet a couple of times as we enjoyed the sporting activities possible in the bay - kayaking and SUP. There is a small paid parking nearby which has enough space when you come early. And the local kiosk stand offers some simple, but nice food after swimming. Nice place to explore.

It's a bit of a drive through a winding road but the view on the back of saint-tropez with its beautiful beaches of Pampelonne makes it worth it.

Esclamandes Beach

Reviewed By travellingcanadian_9

The beach is more than 1km long and divided into 4 sections: family, dog beach, naturist beach and kite surfing. We love it because you can really walk and it's all sand unlike most of the beaches in the area which are pebbles or too short to walk along. There are some great eating spots and it's easy to walk from the town of St. Aygulf if you don't want to drive and park...but there is lots of parking available.
