Hidden in the valley of Bistrica river, in once historically and architecturally important urban and religious site, lay the leftovers of the Monastery of Holy Archangels. It is part of a greater historical complex of the old town/fortress called Prizrenac. The Monastery itself was founded by the Serbian Emperor Stefan Dušan between 1343 and 1352 on the site of an earlier church. It later became his burial church. It was not only until early twenties of the 20th century that its remains were found and later on explored. In 1999 and 2004 it has been the object of devastatation and attacks, while today it is under reconstruction and renovation. If you're interested in history, religion and architecture, then this is the hidden gem that you definitely need to explore. All recommendations!
