Enjoy a relaxing, entertaining, and inspiring experience that will certainly be the highlight of your stay on Prince Edward Island. On board ‘Chaisson A Dream’ with Captain and renowned multi-instrumentalist and entertainer J.J. Chaisson a.k.a. The Fiddling Fisherman; you will sail out of Souris harbour, drop anchor along PEI’s beautiful red cliff coastline, and relax in a picture perfect setting. It is here that you will enjoy a 2 hour gathering of music, dance, and hands on knowledge of traditional music and the fishing industry of Prince Edward Island. When we arrived, it was just after Hurricane Dorian had swept away much of the beach and some of the trees of the world famous Greenwich Beach National Park near St. Peter's Bay, Prince Edward Island. This magical place was nearly deserted by this time in mid-September, and the cooler weather kept all but the hardiest souls out of the sea. Sadly, some of the infrastructure of the park was damaged, but the heroic efforts of park employees had already re-opened the main trails and boardwalks that access dunes and most of the beaches. Our weather improved such that one sunny, mild day, we felt it was almost like summer out there. Birds sang in the trees, squirrels "posed" for photos, and the subtle roar of the waves behind the dunes played over the wind in the trees. The folks at the interpretive center were very helpful, and the displays of local history and ancient history helped make our time here come alive. The facility is above expectations for it's convenience and services.

Visited there on a picture perfect day late in August. Beautiful beach, excellent facilities, showers and the cleanest ladies restroom I think I have ever seen. Interesting interpretive signs, boardwalk, parking very close to beach, all free. Nice little ice-cream shop with grapenut ice cream. If you haven't tasted that, you must.... a PEI specialty! Thanks to those individuals who work hard to keep the place so inviting.

Large beach located in the northern part of the island, popular with walkers, sunbathers and swimmers.
I loved seeing the cliffs off Cavendish Beach. You can go in through the national park entrance or straight to the beach. We took some of the best pictures all along this coast line and there are spots to stop and explore down onto the shore below. There are also bike trails that run through the national park so you could park and do the beach and the trails from the same spot.

Developed along railway lines, this 180-mile hiking and biking trail passes through scenic villages and towns across Prince Edward Island.
Very nice trail, due to short time, we cycled from St.Peters to Morrel and back. The trail goes along the north coast and beautiful views. I plan to go back and cycle the entire trail.

Lots of parking , change rooms are close to the beach with a place outside so you can rinse off the sand off , short walk across the road is the beach with life guards and swimming area that is roped off. Beach is clean and enough room to practice social distancing. Beach and water are so clean, definitely coming back
