The landscape that inspired Anne of Green Gables entices legions of lovers to Canadaâs smallest province. Peaceful P.E.I. is a slow paced haven, full of distinctively Maritime delights. Red sandstone cliffs rise above gentle beaches. Lonely lighthouses dot rocky bluffs. Deserted trails beckon for romantic roaming.

I have a habit of picking up a piece of jewelry whenever I travel so that I can think about the trip whenever I wear it. I had looked online before travelling and found Shoreline design and we were going to be in the area so I made sure we stopped by. It was an absolute delight, and it had more to do with the staff and our interaction with them than the jewelry (which was fabulous and I wish I had been able to buy more). Peter took us into the workshop and showed us some unfinished stones and how he works his magic with them. He also took the time out of his day to help my daughter make her own necklace out of a piece of sea glass. It was one of our favourite memories of the trip and I will always be thankful we stopped there.

Located in scenic Cavendish, you'll find luxurious, environmentally friendly Island treasures. In addition to custom-order tartans including our MacEachern tartan, merino wool sweaters and accessories, you will discover a unique line of jewellery, Island-made natural bath and body care products, pure beeswax candles and, of course, knitting and crochet supplies. We even offer a wee touch of Christmas year-round! See loom knitting and weaving demos or book a loom knitting, sock or mitten knitting workshop!
If you like yarn, knitting, or want to explore knitting, a class with Margaret will be a fun addition to your trip to PEI. I took two of her classes, Looms, lambs, and lobsters as well as Lavender and Lace. Enjoyed both of the classes, the first with 6 other people, the lace class on my own (late in the season). I enjoyed the lobster lunch on the water and the farm visit to Lavender/Honey Wine Farms was fascinating. The owner showed me different areas of planting including the plantings of small trees for a heritage apple orchard and explained how the lambs and 2 cows fertilize and graze between the lines of plantings to enrich the soil and help with planting of even more grasses and wildflowers.

This gem of a place ,captivates you from the moment you step inside the doors. The beauty of the art that is displayed inside was beyond amazing ,and as you step out into the garden at the back ,there are no words to adequately describe how beautiful and peaceful it is.
