Things to do in Prague, Bohemia: The Best Transportation

June 22, 2021 Karren Gelb

The bohemian allure and fairytale features of Prague make it a perfect destination for beach-weary vacationers who want to immerse themselves in culture. You could devote an entire day to exploring Prazsky hrad (Prague Castle), then refueling over a hearty dinner at a classic Czech tavern. Spend some time wandering the Old Town Square before heading over to gape at The Old Town Hall and Astronomical Clock. Prague’s best bars are found in cellars, where historic pubs set the scene for a night of traditional tippling.

I booked this trip with Martin on the internet and everything went perfectly. The driver arrived on time and as arranged, left us in Cesky Krumlov for four hours and was there at the exact time to pick us up and deliver us to our hotel in Prague. The driver was skilled and the Mercedes vehicle clean and comfortable. I would use this company again

Our family reserved a private transfer from this company during our trip to Prague on June 2019. Our flight from Paris to Prague got cancelled. While we were waiting for our new flight (which hadn't been decided yet at that time), I immediately emailed their customer service and got a prompt reply of telling us not to worry and and that we didn't need to pay any extra fee. The driver was very polite and informative. He told us a lot of about what we needed to know during our stay in Prague. I would definitely use their service again when I visit Prague next time and would recommend them to anyone who will be going to Prague.

Based on the reviews I have read, I expected the worst from this company. We travelled from the Prague Main Station to Bohumin Bus Station, to Krakow Main Station, and back, in October-November. Thankfully, we experienced only great service. Booking online was pretty easy. The trains and buses looked new and comfortable. I would highly recommend the train premium cabins, and business seats on the bus, for super comfortable seats that recline way back, and the extra, extra leg room. The lights are even dimmed in the evening. The food and drinks were just okay, similar to airplane quality but with more choices. Toilets: tiny but relatively clean. The train and bus crews were friendly and attentive. It would be even better if they checked on us (on the train) more often to enforce the “quiet” rule where no one was allowed to make phone calls, as some passengers can be inconsiderate and oblivious. It’s a shame many others received terrible service, though. I had my share on the train from Paris to Belgium. Ugh, rude! Hopefully, bec of these negative reviews, Leo Express is now making efforts to improve their service, as well as try to remain consistent.
