My husband and I just moved to Thailand and we have been very intimidated by the local markets! So many new and exciting dishes and ingredients and with the language barrier it has been hard to learn. I booked this local tour with hopes that we would be less intimidated by the markets and I’m so glad we did! Our tour guide Cream was amazing and made us feel at home in the market place! She very clearly loves her job and loves to teach foreigners about her culture and food! We ate so many delicious and new things, and had a great time along the way! One of my favorite things was our fifteen minutes to wander the market after she had taken us through it once, and she told us to take pictures of anything we had questions about and she would explain it! That was so helpful!! I highly recommend this tour to anyone as a wonderful way to get to know Thai culture and most importantly, Thai food!

The term 'Jing Jing' means real, or authentic. For us, 'Jing Jing' is about doing Thai food justice. This tour is deliberately designed with the more experienced Thai traveller in mind. It is for the traveller looking to find new and exciting Thai dishes that they have not yet tried. We try some spicy dishes along with more mild ones; all exhibiting that wonderful Thai ‘balance’. This tour embraces the addictive flavours of the chilli pepper and its relationship, some would say marriage, to Thai food. There are some hot dishes along with much more mild ones, with all dishes showcasing how the Thai people achieve their levels of spice using chilli or peppercorns, along with standard things like garlic and ginger. It’s 3½ hours of tasting great food in venues not on the tourist maps of Hua Hin.
Inclusions: Hotel pickup and drop-off (distance restrictions apply). If you are outside our free pickup zone, which is in the Hua Hin city or Khao Takiab areas, there will be a transportation surcharge, Food tasting at 4 restaurants and 1 street food vendor; around 15 items, English speaking Thai tour guide
Exclusions: Personal expenses, Gratuities, Alcohol (may be purchased), Hotel pickup and drop-off outside of the Hua Hin City and Khao Takiab areas. If you are staying outside of our free pickup zone, there will be a transportation surcharge. Feast Thailand will contact you after your booking is confirmed to inform you of this surcharge. This will need to be paid at the commencement of your tour.

We visited Ayutthaya, UNESCO heritage site in Thailand, a must see place. The Summer Palace is impressive, the buildings, gardens, the tower, memorials, everything is beautiful. The walk is easy, we took pictures everywhere and despite we were not the only group, it was not crowded. Enjoyable, peaceful.

There was a Kid´s introduction to Thai Cooking. Kids were accompanied by their parents who stood aside but ready to assist. The Executive Chef explained to both Thai and Foreign kids what they were going to cook. The menu consisted of Pad That with Chicken and Sticky Rice with Mango. Neatly and well protected cooking spaces were in the middle of a vintage Thai environment with ancient wood carvings and statues, contributing to a cozy Thai atmosphere. The kids had a lot of fun and were very proud of their cooking. For the accompanying parents, there was a serving of Chicken with Cashew nuts and another choice of Massaman Curry with steamed rice. All done before our very eyes, repeatable at home. Kids paid THb 500. Money well spend as it was a lot of fun! Cooking classes and event lunches and dinners can also be planned there. I will definitely bring my tennis buddies and spouses for an original Thai cooking class and celebration afterwards to this great venue on Soi 19. easy to find . there is an Arch on Petschkasem which is the Soi 19 entrance. The Venue is on the right side, Fourth road on the left. It is a must !

This is not a review so much as giving you a great reason to go and visit these people (Becca Gray is lovely) and support them, and see first hand what great work they do. Please, please visit them, it will help support their much needed work. My wife and I feed a very gentle and human-loving soi (street) dog and he came in to our house a few months ago with terrible wounds from fighting other dogs (they fight over female dogs). Rescue PAWS took him in and their surgeon stitched up a quite horrific facial wound (skin literally flapping off) and several others. He also had a nasty ear infection which he gets from time to time, but this tie it was in a very advanced condition. They took him in and cared for him for two or three weeks until he was fit enough to return to our area. I afterwards gave them a donation but they do it out of pure love. He's neutered now and has stopped fighting and is healthy and putting on weight!

Ever wondered how, where and what locals eat at night? This tour is about the evening local food foray; where Thais go for fresh produce, freshly cooked takeaway meals or to eat out. This tour is about getting 'under the skin' of the food scene in Hua Hin and exploring where locals go to satisfy their evening food fix. It's about seeing the freshest local produce in a local market full of tasty delights. In the market, we will be eating standing up, allowing us to move around and sample what the vendors have to offer. We then leave the market and visit two very local eateries before finishing the evening with street vendors selling Thai sweets. Come Hungry!

We really enjoyed our food tour in Hua Hin! May have been the best thing we did while traveling around Thailand. Our guide, Cream was amazing! She spoke excellent English. She was fun, personable, and made the experience great! We went to a food market and tried all kinds of Thai foods. Followed by a couple of restaurants for more Thai dishes. Then dessert! We learned so much about Thai food! This tour is totally worth it! Come hungry!
