Create your own tile, with the guidance of a great sculptor with 20 years experience in the field. All necessary materials and equipment are included! Get your tile delivered at home through post later! I invite you to learn a new set of skills during you private tile making session. My biggest passion is working with ceramics. I have been doing this for the past 20 years, and by now it's more than a hobby for me. It's a way of relaxing, of self-expression, and giving my gift to the world. I want to teach anybody who is willing to try out something new, with openness and curiosity. Don't worry about never doing it before! I will show you everything and work with you side by side. I will tell you all about traditional ceramic, about the process of making tiles, styles and techniques. Together we will design and "cook" tiles. Making ceramic is a process that means burning the tile twice in the oven so you won't be able to take the tile with you on the spot but you can either take another one already made from the workshop or you can get it via post in a few weeks time. Let's become artists for a day and have fun together! :D

We, the founders and artisans of the family company Lillie Ceramics invite you to visit our all-in-one work studio and shop, where we make ceramics inspired by Madeira Island. Our pottery is in Funchal, the largest city in Madeira, in the historic building of Armazem do Mercado. A few steps behind the well-known Farmer´s Market (Mercado dos Lavradores), our facilities are easily located and well worth a visit while you are strolling through the picturesque narrow streets of Funchal's Old Town (Zona Velha). Lillie Ceramics has the certification seal Product of Madeira since 100 % handmade in Madeira, mainly using the potter´s wheel and painting the island´s well-known scenery. Our production is focused on tableware made from high fired stoneware and all our ceramics can be used in both dish washer and microwave.
