An "alternative" little gallery, set in an old warehouse in the heart of "port-land". We went for the port tasting and found a welcoming host and a fine sample of ports and cheeses. We chose the "basic" and "advanced" selections to share, along with two rustic cheeses from northern Portugal, tastefully presented. Our six ports, with the cheese cost approx 16 euros. We then browsed among the ethnic craft items, created by unassuming local arists and craftspersons, and bought presents for the family. Difficult to find but do persevere - such a friendly, welcoming ambience, as with so much of Porto.

From Porto with Soul. A Kiosk converted into a Bar with a tasteful selection of Port Wines, Portuguese Beer, Spiritual Drinks, Snacks, Deserts, and a fine selection of Music with afternoon DJ Sessions during the weekend. The coolest place to be for a sunny day in Oporto. Located next to Igreja de Santo Ildefonso at Praça da Batalha.

The peculiarity of a people is in its colors, its aromas, and in the flavors it offers; but also in the EMOTIONS it awakens! Morro d' amores: Sale and tasting of reputable table wines, Porto wines and of Portuguese regional products: cheeses of goat and sheep, olive oil, jams, honey, dried fruit, pastéis de Chaves, and others. Here you will be able to appreciate quality wines, on individual glasses, in the lovable company of those who understand it, and purchase a bottle of wine to remind you of all the good moments you had in the city of Porto. To accompany the good wines, nothing better than tapas of cheeses of goat and sheep, produced in the traditional methods, with delicious jams, without any preservatives, or honey. Morro d’amores also offers a variety of regional products, like olive oil, olives, dry fruits, honey, pastéis de Chaves and many others.. All of them of great quality and that ensure the satisfaction of the consumer.

Usually tasting experiences can be really pushy with the host wanting you to buy multiple bottles. With a hand luggage flight approaching this was (unfortunately) not our end goal, but this didn't stop our host, Dominic, from sharing his enthusiasm and knowledge about port with us. We tried 5 different ports with a healthy serving of each (some reviewers don't seem to realise that tasting portions are supposed to be small). The cheese was delicious and plentiful. Very happy customers indeed (especially considering the really quite rubbish Porto autumn weather)!!!
