Nanny Falls

Reviewed By shann_345 - Jamaica, Caribbean

I enjoyed every bit of nanny falls except the part where I fell lol. It's a 20mins walk the path is a bit wet and slippery. The falls is beautiful the water is so nice my friends and I had fun walking to the falls. Make sure u walk with repellant because once it reaches evening the mosquitos are out. It's $1500 per person for the tour or u can negotiate with the tour guide. There are guys on the street who will offer to be ur tour guide.

Reach Falls

Reviewed By 189staceym - Oxford, United States

We went to reach falls in June of 2019 and loved it so much we returned in November 2019. This place is so beautiful. It is well maintained and well staffed. When you drive up the parking lot and roads have fresh asphalt and a great bathroom and changing room. You do pay $1500 Jamaican dollars to use this spot, but it is so worth it. From the main part of the falls you are able to walk both up the river and down the river quite a bit. The scenery is breathtaking and the water is crystal clear. There are cute little fish swimming in the basin of the main falls. Beware that the ground is rocky so if you have sensitive feet be sure to wear water shoes. It will also make it easier to get up and down the falls if you want to be more adventurous. The water was much higher and the falls rushing harder in June than in November. Also the water was much cooler in November. If you are in the eastern part of Jamaica then this is definitely worth the stop.

I was here in 2005 and just never forgot it. It is down from a little, nice houses neighborhood. Then I saw Anthony Bourdain was there while filming his CNN show, and I knew I had a great memory.

One day I hope to move to Long Bay. It is by far one of the most low key spots on the island. You will most likely be the only tourist there. The locals are very nice and there are a few tasty spots on the beach for eating and drinking.

WOW .... a wow moment. The Blue lagoon is a fresh water mixed with salt water wonder. We got on a raft with Anthony for $25 USD each and for two hours had a delightful ride as we had a few adult beverages. We were treated to the mineral pool then lazed and swam in the lagoon while my Cuz stayed on the raft chilaxing... great two hours on a Saturday afternoon

Somerset Falls

Surrounded by lush greenery, these falls are best approached via gondola.

Reviewed By bnclee - Toronto, Canada

Great experience. The grounds are well-kept. The pool is large; and, surrounded by lush tropical foliage. The music creates a pleasant ambiance. The walk up to the boat departure is picturesque and pleasant. The boat is manned by a friendly and fun lifeguard. The boat trip and experience under the falls is very unique. Everyone is provided with a life jacket in the boat. You can choose to swim up to the falls, if you prefer. There is a restaurant by the pool, wafting smells of jerk chicken. The pool water was a bit cloudy.
