A place full of charm. University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań was appointed in 1919. Its roots go back to 1611, when, under the royal privilege of Sigismund III Vasa, the Jesuit College was established as the first university in Poznań. It is the third largest university in Poland. Auditorium of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, is a neo-Renaissance building erected in 1905-1910 with the adjacent Collegium Minus on the north side . It fulfills many functions, it is above all the representative hall of the university, where students start and finish their studies. It also hosts classical music concerts and competitions, incl. Festival of H. Wieniawski. The architecture of this university is fascinating, I recommend everyone to find time and visit this university.

The historic building of the University. The university was founded in the 17th century and housed in an impressive Baroque building. After paying the entrance ticket of 12zl, free for my friend as he studies there, we headed inside. The main room, the Aula Leopoldina, though partly under refurbishment, was impressive as I though it would be, with beautiful baroque paintings and decorations. We then climbed up the stairs reaching the top of the Mathematical Tower with a beautiful view over the old town.

The Centre of Geoeducation in Kielce is a modern facility, integrated into the captivating landscape of the Wietrznia reserve of inanimate nature, named after Zbigniew Rubinowski. The project has been implemented of the initiative of the Geopark Kielce, a division of the Kielce City Hall which deals with administration of geological sites and promotion of geotourism in the city. The Centre of Geoeducation comprises several elements which considerably enrich the concept of the swietokrzyskie Archeo-Geological Trail as a tourist product, especially in terms of the recently popular geotourism. The Centre of Geoeducation includes: The permanent exhibition „Chronos” – an exhibition where a variety of aspects of the Swietokrzyskie Mountains geo-diversity is presented, including the Devonian display which shows – by means of attractive, state-of-the-art exhibition methods – the most interesting Devonian rocks found in our region. An unique 5D Cinema, which will take the spectators

The Historic Rail Engine House is a very interesting site for anyone interested in History, Trains and even derelict places. Parts of the buildings were built around 1900. A few of the buildings were built by the Nazis during WW2. All of them worth seeing, and the site offers a tour with a very Polish speaking guide. The tour only happens in Polish, but the guide is very nice and welcoming.
