Playa del Carmen is one of the top diving destinations in the world, thanks to vibrant sea life and dazzling underwater caverns. On dry land, Playa is a hipper and more modern version of the fishing village it once was. Spend some quality time on the golf course or wave hello to the playful spider monkeys at The Jungle Place sanctuary. Explore the ancient ruins of the Coba Mayan Village, or get in some quality people-watching as you shop and stroll along 5th Avenue.

A definite must do. Ended up being a private tour with just my husband and our guide Coco. Coco was an excellent guide- he was so knowledgeable about not only the food but the culture. The best part of traveling is learning the food and culture of where you are visiting and getting out of our comfort zone's at the resort- this tour is a great way to do that. All the food was delicious and we learned so much- about mole, the fruits and vegetables, saw some great art and learned how Playa Del Carmen has changed. Best was the tacos at Chicharroneria Teresita- just a great explosion of flavors and textures. Take this tour- you will be happy you did

Overall very positive experience with this company and their pricing. This was not a private tour but it was a group tour combining visitors from Playa del carmen and Cancun. We had a full van with 10 guests, everyone wearing their masks during the commute to the boat but in a very close proximity. once we got on a boat we could space out and maintain the necessary distance. The staff was very nice and accommodating. One downside, it was impossible to know how many people will be in the tour and our travel plans were complicated so we were accommodated in this group last minute. There is also very limited number of tours occurring in the area due to pandemic. everyone got to snorkel with the whale sharks and manta rays several times, 2 people at a time. These creatures are magnificent and although I felt conscientious about the disturbance we may have caused them with our presence, seeing these creatures was absolutely amazing.
