This is a difficult trek, but everything about it was fantastic. The guides and porters are extremely knowledgeable, organized and professional, and the two caves, which our small group had to ourselves, were both awesome experiences. The second one, the E-Cave, where we swam in about 500m until it was pitch black was one of the most memorable outdoors things I've done. Now, I'm not a caver, but I have been in a few tourist ones around SE Asia, and this experience is totally different. Be prepared for some physical exertion, though. I'm 53, go to the gym regularly, and do a 10 mile run once a week, and I was struggling a bit. It's a lot of up and down through the jungle. But it's such beautiful terrain, that kept me going. The lunch (cooked by the porters) was also fantastic--BBQ pork with a special jungle sauce that really hit the spot. There's so much packed into one day, and I highly recommend it.

Paradise and Dark cave are located in Phong Nha National Park . First 5km of Paradise Cave has been discovered by explorers of the British Cave Research Association in 2005. Until 2010, the explorers officially announced that they has fully discovered the whole cave which is 31,4km full length. Dark Cave - challenge of darkness. The cave is a way different experience in compare with the other caves. Lots of adventurous activities are waiting for you. Getting near to the cave entrance by 400 meters long zip-lining with 10 meter high or by kayaking for those who get fear of high places. 15 meters swimming to the cave on the cool water will wake you up. At the end of the cave, mud bath is the most interesting spot that once you get dipping into it, you will not want to get out of it anymore. Swing, mini-ziplines with obstacle course are waiting for you on Chay river. Swimming in cool blue water is one of remarkable experiences in your life - must be in your bucket list.

Thank you for heart warming support. I enjoyed an excellent scenery in the cave. I recommend visitors to go there from Dong Hoi city. 1 hour ride from there is just suitable for a nap on the way to go and from comparing boring long bus ride from other cities.

I fell in love with Vietnam on a one-time trip. Not because of its islands, not because of its famous bridge, not because of its nature. I fell in love with this country because of the good and kind people of Vietnam. Of course, Vietnam has very beautiful islands.
