Things to do in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA): The Best Lessons & Workshops

July 15, 2021 Terina Blouin

One of the most historic cities in America, Philadelphia is an ideal place to spend a weekend - preferably a long one. Be sure to see the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where the Constitution and Declaration of Independence were signed. Both are part of Independence National Historic Park. Philadelphia also boasts some outstanding art museums, including the Rodin Museum. The Franklin Institute Science Museum is one of many area attractions honoring the life and work of Benjamin Franklin, the city's most famous ambassador. After digesting all of that history, be sure you save room for a classic Philly cheese steak sandwich.

Wine School of Philadelphia

The School is the top-ranked wine school in America, according to SOMM. They offer individual wine tastings that are open to the public, along with professional sommelier and winemaking programs. Reservations are available via their website. Register early! Many of their classes sell out months prior. Their wine tasting classes are extraordinary and unique. The wines are not just good, but better than you will have anywhere, anytime. Who doesn't want to try extraordinary cellar-aged wines selected by a master winemaker or sommelier? The classes are a good fit for smart folks. The two main instructors are an author-winemaker and a sommelier-lawyer. Both are dynamic and charismatic, and the classes are inclusive and very down to earth.
