Phang Nga (Thai: พังงา, RTGS: phangnga, pronounced [pʰāŋ.ŋāː]) is one of the southern provinces (changwat) of Thailand, on the shore of the Andaman Sea to the west and Phang Nga Bay to the south. Neighboring provinces are (from north, clockwise) Ranong, Surat Thani, and Krabi. To the south is the Phuket Province, connected by a highway bridge.

Phang Nga is famous for spectacular scenery with limestone cliffs rising out of green water. There are caves, lagoons and tiny secluded beaches awaiting discovery.
Phanga Nga Bay is a visual treat for all your senses. A boat trip through the waters to various islands in this Bay is a must do activity. I did a big-boat tour through BJ Canoe agency and they take you to various islands like James Bond island, Hong Island, Panak island etc. Kayaking through the shallow waters of this bay is an memorable experience. Though it's a typical touristy route, it's still a great experience to witness the islands and the magnificent limestone rocks emerging out of the sea.

LOVED Koh Kho Khao Island - quiet, relaxing - good swimming beaches - I stayed at DreamZ Ocean Pearl Resort - it has recently re-opened (December 2018) and I got a great deal. So good to get our of the madness of Patong and just chill out - I did nothing, other than swim and sunbake - exactly what I was looking for. Mama's restaurant, up the beach from the resort is definately worth walking along the beach to - beautiful family and great food - Pirates Bar, at Dreamz Ocean Pearl resort is excellent - brilliant staff, great nightly BBQ and the owner Ko, is very entertaining. Definately will be visiting again:)

Wow. Have been heading off to quiet bits of Phuket for years and am generally a fan of islands. The quiet bits of Phuket are getting very hard to find so we opted for a few days on Ko Yao Yai and what an utter joy to find real rural tranquility and wonderful road side eateries. Be warned, beer can be hard to find but great food, simplicity and tranquility are in abundance. Oh and we took two separate high speed boat transfers between Ban Rong and the island. Both high speed. Both 300 Baht per person but one without a life jacket in sight. Will post some more reviews when I get home to my island! Bye for now.

Loved Koh Yao Noi, great for doing not much or a yoga training which I was attending. Scootering is ideal, and check the tides to plan your swims at high tide. I would go again, loved the laid back feel and genuinely lovely people on the island
