Petrozavodsk (Russian: Петрозаводск, IPA: [pʲɪtrəzɐˈvotsk]; Karelian, Vepsian & Finnish: Petroskoi; Finland Swedish: Petroskoj) is the capital city of the Republic of Karelia, Russia, which stretches along the western shore of Lake Onega for some 27 kilometers (17 mi). Unfortunately when we came here there was not enough snow for husky sledding but the great hospitality of the people more then made up for it. The kennel tour and the food was great. We also made a nice walk through the forest.
