ZimArt's Rice Lake Gallery is a beautiful outdoor sculpture park specializing in the promotion and sale of Zimbabwean stone sculpture. During the season, which runs from June 1 to Thanksgiving, we offer a range of events from sculpting workshops to African dance classes. Most days during the season a visiting Zimbabwean artist is available to talk to visitors and demonstrate the art of stone carving. A great destination for art lovers of all ages. Free admission. Picnic facilities.
As an African-American, this was an important visit for me. The ability to see art such as this within the context of the beauty of Bailieboro was sheer perfection. Each piece of art serves an emotional purpose and is for sale. The proceeds support an organization called ZimKids.ca which supports orphaned and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe. To describe this place is one thing, to experience it is another. The cost is by donation and given their mission you can't do enough to support this haven. You have to see and feel this place. As the artists say: They ask the stone what it is. Seeing what they do with the stone and the tools they use is a miracle.

At NaKeD Chocolate, using the best couverture chocolate is only the first step in the creation of our exquisite selection of chocolates and confections. We craft each recipe to ensure that every bite is a memorable delight. Discover our inspired flavour combinations using fruits, flowers, spices and herbs from around the world. And, knowing that chocolate's pleasures go beyond that of taste, we use it as a canvas to make it a feast for your eyes. Painting with cocoa butter, we employ dozens of techniques to achieve unique, incomparable designs.
One must experience each of the individually flavoured chocolates. Unlike any chocolate I've ever had before. The caramels are to die for. Pharaoh is the best. Lavender caramel, through, is an interesting twist. Flavours include various spices, ghost peppers, alcohol, creams and fruits. Nothing fake. Some of his creations are works of art in themselves.

Due to Covid there is a limit of 3 customers in the store at time, so we got there before opening to wait outside, good thing we did because when we left there was lineup 12 yr old daughter needed swimsuits, we got 3 different ones that you would never find at Giant Tiger or Walmart. Staff were so helpful, patient and friendly. Huge selections of swimsuits, (for all different bodies and ages), shoes, hats, coverups, sunglasses, mens underwear. Nice to see some Made in Canada brands too.
