Backstage at the Green Hotel is an intimate concert venue that have hosted some of the Worlds greatest Artists. With a max capacity of only 120 it has gained an international reputation. Rolling Stone Mick Taylor & Jefferson Starship are amongst Bands who have played. A must see is the Rock Memorabilia which is one of the best in the UK.
Saw Pendragon on the last night of their UK Tour. Sit down gig. The venue only holds 120, so its quite an intimate venue! Good sound and audience and truly great prog band. Icing on the cake was to walk back to the hotel room without having to go outside!!

Our wee Scottish Clootie Dumpling Shop, Cafe and viewing production kitchens will give you a insight in to the Scottish heritage and traditions . You will step back in time the minute you walk through the doors !!! Find out more about the history of the Clootie Dumpling and have the opportunity try the wonderful pudding/ dessert . We also hand craft Clootie Dumplings with a modern twist and make a variety of flavours (Lindores Aqua Vitae, Date and Cherry, Apple/ pear and cinnamon, Rhubarb and ginger, seasonal special, Whisky and Orchard Fruit plus much more) using locally sourced ingredients. These lovely, old-fashioned puddings are bursting with Scottish charm! They are a genuine taste of Scotland. In our quirky shop we have other fabulous local food produce, gifts, bespoke furniture and Harris Tweed. If you are more of a hands on person why not book a demonstration or workshop to master the art of Clootie making? Something for everyone! We are Dog friendly too !
A lovely place and I wish I had time to stay longer. The friendliness, passion and welcome of the staff was a real treat and I will certainly be back to sample the delights of the cafe. We were provided samples of the amazing variety of dumplings which were amazing along with the creative presentation for special occasions.Lovely to see creativity combined with an environmental focus and the ability to view your food being prepared through the glass fronted kitchen. Well done and I will plan a stop over next time I am Abernethy. Do visit if you get a chance.

A very good alehouse. Staff know their beers and are very friendly. Comfortable shabby chique decor and nice dog. Beers are excellent...mostly locally sourced where possible. Real fire maintained and lit with considerable effort and occasional colourful language. ( joke) Without seeming to sound pretentious it is an intelligent pub with proper pub rubbish talked by all.
